Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 387 and 388

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

i have gotten both box & letter (post marked 8/22)

Hi, paigesmom,

No, no call and no letter, thought maybe last Sunday would have counted as 2nd Sunday, and they would be able to write. But don't give up hope, I am sure it takes  a few days, my form letter was postmarked 8/22 and got it 8/26. I am hoping this Sunday he can write or a phone call, but not getting my hopes up for phone call. I can't take the waiting anymore. My heart skips a beat when I think I don't have my phone on me.!!!!

I know I keep writing, it is raining here at the Jersey Shore, and I can't clean one more thing, 6  more days til I am back at work, actually looking forward to it!!!

I just saw Sarge posted 10/4/13 meet and greet, that means ours will be posted soon, WOW!!!! EXCITING!!!

defintely NOT giving up hope.  just wish i kew if things were going well or not.

hotel is booked

Just booked, Navy Lodge.

Just wish I knew when he was leaving for A School, but I booked til Sunday..

I thought they all leave on Saturday

Hi, all.  Wondering if anyone has heard anything from their SR yet.  I received "the box" the Friday after my son left, and got the form letter yesterday, but haven't gotten anything personal as of yet.  His recruiter told me that he may call Saturday, but I didn't hear anything, unfortunately.  I am anxiously awaiting, any news, but I really can't wait to hear his voice.  I'm sure I'm not the only one!

I am with you jackson5.. But I think for the first few weeks no news is good news.. I am just praying for strong minds and strong bodies. Our boys are working hard :)

That's is what a friend told me, I know he's okay, or I would have heard otherwise.  I really just want to hear him say he's good!  Love your screen name, by the way!  We are from Upstate SC, what about you?

chi's Mom here, I am from Raleigh, NC, daughter is in this group of sailors.  Glad to meet you and every one else.  Rec'd box and on Monday, the form letter.

hi Jackson 5 I believe my daughter is in your sons brother division ship 12 div 387 so far we have gotten her box formal letter but no personal mail or phone call as of yet

I feel like I was the absolute last mom in that whole blasted division that got the form letter. It just came today but I am going to have to agree with the other mom's. The only ones from our SR's divisions that are getting phone calls seem to be the kids having problems or needing information. I'm almost scared to get a call from 847. Hang in there. If we don't get a phone call it means they aren't in medical and they are getting through everything okay :)
