Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 015 & 016.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Deb, my SR left from LA on sept. 26

SailorMom59 - Yes I did get the letter.. I was am so happy.  How did you SR get the job of PO?  I think I will most likely sleep with it under my pillow..

hahaha....I read it over and over and over again. and then over again!  I love my letter. :-)

Well, they SAY, the way they pick one's for these jobs is how prepared they were for BC, how well they behave, listen and seem to know what they are supposed to do. So he's now RECRUIT PETTY OFFICER MAILMAN. It makes me smile.   He was in Delayed Enlistment for 7 months, so he had lots of time for studying everything. And he DID study.  I'm so giddy over this letter, I can't get the smile off my face!! I know that's how you and all the other mom's with letters are feeling right now.  HAVE A GREAT DAY!

My son Miles is on Ship 13 Div 16, and he to was in deps for about 8 months and studied, he is a recurit petty officer over the restrooms, says he has a crew and loves it.  Heard on facebook today that their is a breakout of chick pox in a few div, and ours was one. I have recieved letters, 3 of them but no phone calls yet, that will be a happy dance day.  Praying for you all to find peace with your loved ones being gone, it is an adventure and they will become better people for it!

awesome, MMM!!!  great job, and crew!   My son had the chicken pox shot when he was younger, so I hope that works and he doesn't get it.

It sure IS an adventure! for them and us! :-)

beckybec - yes I got a short letter. I am sleeping with it under my pillow...Yes, my sons name is chris did you hear something about him???

beckybec and @sailotmom59 - My SR name is Christopher too.....

@debnchris I was trying to figure out if my Chris was talking about your Chris. He is a submariner going to A school in Connecticut?

beckybec - No, the last I knew my SR was going to Pensacola FL..

SailorMom59 - That is so cool that he got picked for that.  I am so happy for you.  My letter was very short.  Hard to say how he's doing.  So will wait for the next one or phone call.  That would be exciting.  I printed some pics last night to send to him today.  We are 1/2 way into this.. We will be at Sarge's sooner than we know, and all excited for the next day......

MMMship13div016  your son is with my son.  I am so glad that he is happy.. I hope that my son is doing good too.

debnchris,  Yes, that is great news.  We are going to PIR staying at embassy suites in deerfield form 9/19 to 9/27, his brother and grandpa will join us later but will be leaving thansgiving day.  I don't think I will make it to meet and great, praying the boys are doing fine, hope they get to make a call soon, that would be so nice.
