Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 015 & 016.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Question for the verteran mom....one of our local boys will be leaving for BC next week which means he will be there for Thanksgiving.  I would like to try and adopt him for Thanksgiving day and take him to dinner with our family.  Does anyone know how I can go about doing this???

Just got my first and second letter in the mail today!!! (My husband is ship 13 DIV 016)

He says that their mail PO just got trained October 12, so they sent out letters Sunday so if you haven't got yours yet you should.  My mother-in-law and my sister-in-law also received letters today!

He also said one of the guys had chicken pox and their division was quarantined because a few of the other guys were aslo affected.

Hope anyone who hasn't got mail yet get it soon!

@Crystal My son is with your husband.  I am so happy to hear that you got a letter and the reason why some of us have not.  I hope that mine does come today.  Are you going to the PIR?  Where are you coming from?  I want to get a letter just so I know how he is really doing?   Thank You and I am very happy for you and anyone else that gets a letter today.

Deb,

I am going to PIR, we're flying in from LAX, my mother-in-law is coming with myself and my son.  You will get your letter soon! I hope you get it today.

Are you going to the meet and greet the day before?

I got my first real letter too.  He sounds so good.  debnchris I hope you got one too.  Is your son named Christopher?

yes!! my son's name is Christopher!

@sailotmom59 my son is also named Christopher and he mentioned another Christopher who was also going to be a submariner and A school being in Connecticut.

I GOT MY LETTER!!!! YAY!!!!  My son is the mail PO!!!  He says that PT is not bad, the food is good, yelling is starting to decrease, He loves his hair cut, the weather, the other recruits are friendly,  Inspections are improving and on a scale of 1-10 of how his DIV 16 is working AS a team, he gave it a 4. No drama. And he's going to call me as soon as he can and write me again real soon!!  woohoo!!!

debnchris, anything yet???

oh, the 2nd form letter came too, stating that the graduation is definitely NOV 21st.  I am sooo happy!! DOING HAPPY DANCE!!    I love this letter, I can't seem to put it down...haha!!

Hey Pink & Kawilde I got a letter. I got a letter!

Kawilde, Gabe said that he and your son are friends. I guess your son told Gabe that you were on Navymoms. I had to laugh at that way he wrote it.
No mention of chicken pox or his job. He did say as of the 14th he has not gotten any of the letters that we have sent.
He sent his girlfriend his journal of what he has been up to. He has more of a positive attitude.

I am still worried about his running? I know you get 3 tries but only the last one counts. What happens if he doesn't pass? Does he get asmoed?

Please say a few prayers for him about that.

Thanks,
Kelly

Hello Kellyd,

I will say some prayers.  I am so glad you got a letter.  It just makes you smileeeeeeeeeee...............  My SR sounds like he has matured in the short weeks he has been gone.

Thank you, for letting know that my recruit and yours are friends.  I something else to right to him about this eve.

Keep positive thoughts, Kawilde

Crystal - I got my letter.  Not much but a letter.  I cried of course.  I am flying out of Orange County, it is easier to find someone to take me there.  I am going to Sarge's meet and greet.  And you?
