OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Follow this link for OPSEC Guidelines:

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Specific information on this policy change will be provided in the coming days and weeks.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your support.

RTC Graduation

**UPDATE 8/25/2022 - MASK MANDATE IS LIFTED.  Vaccinations still required.

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 033 & 034

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My husband is also in 034 and said the division seems to be pulling it together! :) It was so good to hear! Yay!

This is good news to hear. So many sicknesses and they were struggling before. The end is near and off to A school soon!

Does anyone have the number to the TLC.since they are no longer under the RTC

TSC Great Lakes Public Affairs Office: (847) 688-4862 X174 or (847) 688-5454 x161.

Hope this helps! :)

Kittycat..I had to try to send the email a couple of times before it sent. Don't know why, I sure was relived when it went through though. I hope I sent the correct info. I'm driving him back to Pensecola so I guess I have to send a mapquest for that. I just sent flight itinerary and stated at the end I'm driving him to A school.

thank you.  we will keep trying   no luck so far.   we have another letter.  My son is requesting sandals and orieo cookies

funny.   I don't know if he booked a flight or he wants us to do it for him.  Confused.

I got a call from my SR this morning while in the grocery aisle at Walmart. :) He is still sick, but doesn't want to go to medical & get behind. Said they did the Marlinspike, which he thought was fun. But he still 'sucks' at the bowline knot. (former Boy Scout) They had live fire yesterday and everyone passed, but he doesn't have his score yet. Thought that was fun, too! Still hasn't passed his PFA, but is much closer on his pushups...hooray!!! I "think" he said yesterday was training wk 4, day 3. Was a very quick 5 min call as he wanted to call his Dad, who is out camping with the Boy Scout troop this weekend. I thought he sounded very relaxed and in a very good mind-set. :D

MommaJeri, are son are in the same ship and div., got the same call this morning.  R you doing to PIR

We hope to, BradMom. It will all depend on our weather here at home. If it snows, hubby will have to work/plow, as he works for the City. So, praying for NO SNOW...LOL.

MommaJeri, what state are you in? I won't be going as I have a 93 year old mom in my home but will see my son when he flies home for a few days!

DocRenee, we are in Iowa. :)

Ok that makes sense MommaJeri. Hope the weather stays good for you.
