Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 045 and 046.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

I sent my son's letters with an incorrect format on the address. I put his last name, first initial only.  I didn't put his full name.  We have a very unusual last name and I am certain there are none others with the same last  name.  Do you think he will still receive his letters?  We are worried.

got or first letters this week, was soooo happy,. waiting for more, just loved it...

When I finally received my letter from my son Ship 14 DIV 046 ... I went running into the house screaming and scared the living daylights out of my husband ... he was in the back of the house and all he heard was my screaming.  My letter did not arrive until last Friday.  Hope you all get letters soon.

In his letter to his sister, my son wrote that he, "didn't have much time before his next a** kicking," so he had to keep the letter short.  Then he went on to say it really wasn't that bad.

My son is on ship 14, div 045. I've received one letter.  He said boot camp is hard but he made the right decision.  I'm trying to schedule my flight.  I wonder if we should leave on Saturday night or Sunday morning.  Don't we get the day after the graduation with our son?  Thanks for any information!

If your son stays in GL for A School, you have weekend daytime with him through Sunday.  If flying out, it most likely will be the day after PIR.  They are bussed to the airports very early in the morning (like 1 or 2 a.m.) to wait for flights.  You are welcome to go to the airports and wait with them, even getting an airlines gate pass so you can wait at the gate with your sailor until he/she leaves.  So we suggest that you all do not fly home before Sunday.

My son is Nuke and will go to A school in Charleston, SC.  I was told Nukes are "grad and go".  Do you know if this is true?

Good morning Everyone, hope your having a great Friday. Everyone is concerned about their letters arriving I live in the houston area my daughter is on ship 14 Div 45 I have recieved 2 plus the form letters the first was wriiten on the 21 or 22 recieved it after thanksgiving all is well she said they have a pretty decent RDC the next one arrived yesterday it was wriiten i believe sunday. its taking about three days to recieve them. Yesterday the letter also contained adoption form for christmas which i cant do she said everything was fine just busy by the way the letters are post marked Carol Springs Il. Bye for now keep you posted if i hear anymore Hope this helps! Sorry for the typos

Keep your phones handy! Divisions 45 &46 are getting phone calls as we speak!

Got 5 letters yesterday from my girl. She called today, and at first couldn't speak, holding back the tears. But then she was fine. She wants us to come to GL for Christmas but she knows that we can't do both Christmas and Graduation. She is really good friends with a SR female named Burroughs. Apparently, her friend's mom is paralyzed and in a wheelchair and can't go up for Christmas. I hope she can go to her daughter's graduation. My daughter is hoping that if she has to stay with a family for Christmas, she hopes they can be together. My daughter also told me that another SR from Div 045 came to look for her and introduce herself and it just so happens that her mom and I traded comments to each other a while back. Her mom told her about my daughter and she went looking. I wish I could remember which mom it was that I was talking too about our girls!!! Amazing, the powers of our Group! My SR says she gets my letters within 2 to 3 days after I mail them, but she only can mail out about every 10 days. At least she is getting hers faster, so she feels close to her family. Things are great in Santa Fe, Texas today!!!!!!!!! :-)

was a wonderful day yesterday. Friday, I got my phone call, it was the best to hear from my baby. he is doing pretty good, we talked for about 10 mins. I loved it.  he is doing well  and is section leader,

I got a call from my boy on Friday as well.  I thought my heart would explode from the joy!  He isn't feeling 100%, but said he is happy and loving the challenge of bootcamp.  He sounded truly wonderful.  He is getting all day Saturday/Sunday after PIR to spend with us and then he leaves for Port Huemene for Seabee A school on Monday, Jan 7   He said that the guy in the bunk right below him is also a Seabee going to Port Huemene.   Anybody have a son/daughter from this division going to A school in Port H?
