Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 061 and 062

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

We will also be arriving about noon on Thursday at midway and staying at navy lodge, then going to Sarges meet and greet. Can't wait to meet everyone!
That is great DanaD'. Maybe we will me able to share the expense of Sarge 's shuttle. He charges per cab, not person!
We will also be getting into midway around noon on Thursday and staying a t navy lodge. Will also be going to Sarges meet and greet. Can't wait to meet everyone!

I am must say that I am stressed beyond measure....my son has done well thru boot camp, but one never knows how the final week will go. This last week feels as emotionally draining as the first week. My body wells up with an overwhelming rush of emotion that I have to either reel back in or when I cant....I cry!!! This is crazyness....someone please tell me that they are the same way...LOL. I am so emotional and feel like I am going nuts!!! I sure do wish that this would hurry up and be done!!!

I am feeling the same way! My daughter has felt confident throughout boot camp but it is this final week that matters! On pins and needles waiting for that final call!
PoodleLady, that sounds great but there are four of us going. I wonder if the cabs are cars or if some are vans? I guess we will find out Thursday. Sounds like a great plan! Looking forward to meeting you and all the others.
DanaD, have you received a confirmation from Sarge that he will be providing you transportation? I called him and he asked me to send an e-mail which he replied to with information about his services. I replied back with the requested info, but have not received a confirmation of any sort. This was all early last week. Just wondering if I should be concerned or patient . . .

We too will be be flying in on Thurs around 3:50, but unfortunately at O'hare, and staying at a Super 8 in Mundelein. I woulld love to make Sarges Meet and Greet, but not sure if it's too late to RSVP. We will be meeting my other daughter who is flying in from Seattle & not sure of her flight time, so if it works out, I'll be there :)

I had talked to my SR on Wed because she needed a phone number for more of her security clearances & had told me that she had hurt her foot & wasn't able to make the last PFT, and was worried that she might be asmo'ed. She told me that there was a person in her brother div that fell out & so they were going to repeat it today. Fingers crossed and prayers being said that her foot got better & she was able to make the run. I have been panicked all day waiting for the phone call, but non has been made, so I'm hoping that no news is good news. Anyone else have had that experience?

I'm hoping that I will finally get a chance to meet everyone & celebrate all of our children's success and new adventures! SO proud of them!

PoodleLady, I have not received confirmation but I didn't email him about that. I did RSVP to meet and greet but didn't realize we needed to for taxi. I thought we could do that at the meet and greet or find out about the shuttle. I better go back and read more carefully! Uggg! Thanks for the heads up!
DanaD, we need transportation from the airport to the Navy Lodge. That is the confirmation I was referring to . . . My husband does want to drive in the snow as that is something foreign to us! Sarge said to e-mail our flight info to him. I thought you were using him for this too. . Sorry if I have confused you. I haven't heard from him since I sent the info.

I did read we can sign up for the shuttle to PIR at the Meet and Greet on Thursday evening.
Okay ladies I am biting my nails and feel anxiety , I asked for prayer at church for all our recruits that will be doing battle stations.. I received a letter from my daughter and just cried and still in tears can't wait for phone call actually just want to hug her I have missed my daughters so much since one has pir 1/17/2014 the other one has it on 1/31/2014 so this mom will travel again. Hope to meet some of y'all I am from Texas lol.. Everybody here has been awesome just great support, ideas and information wow can't express my gratitude to everybody. I will be the pregnant lady lol, walking slow but I will be there for my daughters..
All I can think about right now is "What are our soon to be Sailors doing at this moment!" I was totally useless at work today as I couldn't stay focused . . . my mind kept wondering back to my daughter, Battle Station, PIR, etc. and I have two more days to get through before we fly out of here!

Trying to be patient as I wait for that "I'm a Sailor!" call. Can't wait to hug my daughter! Praying for "tear control" when I see her!
