Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 097 and 098.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Praise God they're alive!  :)  Thank you so much for sharing!!! :)  Sadly, I still have not gotten a letter from my daughter.  I wonder why they had 2 weeks of "P-week"??  So happy you heard from your son....and thank you again for sharing. God bless!

Sherivi,  I am betting you will get a letter on Monday or Tuesday since yesterday was the first anyone has heard from our SR's ship14/div098. I read on another site that when SR's come in they are ramdomly assigned to a ship/div (1st come type thing) and when one ship/div fills up they start another. The thought was that our SR's did not make a full div so they had to wait for the next SR's to arrive and fill up their division which means our kids had 2 weeks of p-week and the rest had 1 week. If that is the case, I am just glad that they kept the graduation date of 2/8 and didnt push that back a week. :)

There is a facebook group just for our ship/div if you are interested I can send you the site.

Yes please send the site

Hello everyone, Div097... have not heard anything from my son yet ;-( I keep hoping since some have been receiving letters, never knew how much I look forward to the mail man, my dogs are not the only one's excited seeing the mail main, lol!! Glad to hear some are receiving letters, one day soon.

Hoping to send another letter out today along with a book of stamps.  Still haven't booked my flight.  A bit of confusion with the other invited party but his is all booked, so I'm able to go now.  I'm planning on attending Sarge's Meet & Greet. Have a great week.

Both pages have a really good group of people...

We are on both Facebook pages.  Great people with a ton of info.

Thank you for posting the links.

Any new letters today.  Would love to hear any info about Ship 14 Div 97 & 98.  Our son Max Neumueller is part of 97, CTM headed to Pensacola for A School.

Received a letter today. 14/97 All good news. Dated Jan 4. Did not mention anything about the comments that have been flying around facebook indicating that those divisions have had difficulty & extra PT. Said he is doing great. Says the weather has been great & no snow. Still can't get over that the others are actually cold. His nickname is Wisconsin. It has also come up that he is from Oshkosh, and others have started making " B'Gosh" comments. Only one letter, but he sounds wonderful.

We got our first letter today, well not me my sons girlfriend did. The were in processing for two weeks and then mail was delayed because there was no one qualified for mail. They made my son Educational Petty Officer, if anyone can elaborate on that and port watch. Any help on what are both the duties would be great. He is ALIVE!!!!

Hi everyone. Looking for families of Wiggins & Wooten. Let me know if they belong to you...lol. To answer a theme below, yes, there are FB pages specifically for our SR's graduation date. Let me know if you would like the links.
