Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 105 and 106.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

I got mail yesterday and couldn't believe, I missed seeing my son's mail. I woke up this morning and it was on the counter. His letter was not so encouraging, he said that the division phone calls have been taken away. No wonder, I haven;t heard from him in 2 weeks. The leg problems was due to his boots. He said the week from &^%^& has begun. His A School has changed twice. He has been selected for something "special" but won't know until the week of PIR. He endures, but this letter was not an encouraging one. I guess it just gets harder as the time gets closer. I just wish, I could hear his voice. He has a strong mind and that's what pushes him.

Received letter yesterday from my son, he said they are VERY busy.  Hasn't been able to call, division still isn't clicking to well.  They will pull it together, takes a little time. Can we print out our gate pass for 03/0813, I tried and it said my password in wrong.  So ready for a big hug and to see my sons huge smile.

Hi Ladies,

My SR had said that the division as a team was not doing good. That may have changed in the last few days. I do have faith that they will get it together. It can be that the RDC's tell them that they are not working as a  team, to push them to be greater but being tough on them can bring them together and make then work harder. They will learn in time, to keep the ship a float everybody has to work together because if the ships goes down everybody goes down . It is just like getting a car to work, if it has good tires it doesn't matter if the battery and other parts don't work. We have to keep it positive to keep everybody motivated.

Kandilee, ours are in the same ship and division. My son is not used to wearing boots, hence the reason for the leg pain. Just put him in tennis shoes and he could fly.

Someone posted it right. We have to keep it positive. My SR last letter wasn't a cheerful note, so it's my responsibility to keep him motivated. Okay, I know for sure that mykidsinthenavy's SR and mine are together. In my son's last letter he said the same, that they were very busy.

As far as the gate pass, I thought we were told 11 days prior to PIR? Perhaps the reason it didn't work when you tried it. I still haven't made my flight reservations, just the hotel reservations. I am hoping to find some good deals on Presidents Day.

The link is up on the RTC page, but they are not available to be printed until 11 days prior to PIR.  Trying now just tells you it is a bad password.

Ship 14 div 105 graduates march 8th Great Lakes
DIV 106 is making calls today. Mine just called. She had an hour. I got 38 minutes and now she's calling her dad. Keep those phones nearby.

I'm so excited. Just finished talking to my SR.  I haven't spoken with her in about 3 weeks. It felt like forever.  We talked for 51 mins.  I can't wait to touch her.  She told me that on liberty we will be very busy running around getting hair, nails and brows (beutifying, lol) done.  She's sounds great and I'm on Cloud 9 again! : )

I got a call for about an hour . My SR doing great. The division is pulling together better but needs to work at it. The whole division can get set back. I believe they will and can get through as a whole; lets continue to pray and motivate these future sailor.

My son called on Sat for information for security reasons, and today I received a real call and we were able to talk 35min.  what a blessing.  He also had to call his father.  I am so fortunate my employer lets me have those special calls during work.  He sounded great ready for basic to be over, and move on.   Said he has met some really great friends, and that he believes the friendships will last beyond basic.  He said he eats 4x a day.

wooohoooooo
