Dear Mom's,

I have been writing often. Telling him everything like he is still in the loop. I have not received a personal call. Dad got the "I am hear call". We have our "kid in a box" and the form letter.

Let see- if they are graduating on the 25th.. they are on the end of week 3. My recruit left on the 29th- His papers were dated the 29th- which was a Thursday. I don't think they start counting weeks until they are there a FULL week. So if week 8 is graduation week.. we are ending week 3.

So, I am really hoping a letter or a phone call will come soon. I have seen a trend of first calls coming the 4th week Tuesday. So I plan on have my phone taped to me Tuesday ( all week..lol ).

Anyone receive an update yet on your recruit???

I got a call today! Talked for about 27heavenly minutes. He sounded homesick and at times emotional but overall good. Said it has been really hard. Wants letters every day! I am on a writing campaign:)

Is Kyle D mom on this board?

Is Perry's mom on this board?

Is Almeda's? mom on this board?

Is Diasdado? mom on this board?

Perry is my sons bunk mate and I will be sending him and the whole div ear plugs :) He is also giving you an extra seat on your pass list and we only are doing 3 if it is allowed. I hope they let him have it.

Any of these moms please friend me so we can keep touch and share info with each other....

Those are all the names I had time to get off of him.

Suzanne, Almeida is my daughter..

oh my gosh!!!!! Josh said she was one of the coolest girls... She was the only nice comment he had for a girl.....

WOW!

Suzanne

Aww, that's so nice to hear.  Makes me want to cry...LOL

Do you want me to remove her name from the list??

Hi, I am Perry's mom. Thank you for the extra seat, if we get it. I almost forgot about this board. Glad I looked back through all these tabs that keep opening, lol.

Do you want us to friend you here or on Facebook?

Hi,

I am doing the same thing. Sending letters filling in with daily updates. I have printed pictures of family or events from the computer and use the back to write my letters. Hopefully, it makes her feel connected. My daughter did not get to GL till April 2nd. I think when her group arrived, they were able to close out this division and start P days. I still don't get the hang of the week and day stuff. I am hoping they were able to read mail Sunday and start writing. I am lost with no contact...

We are going to graduation, staying at the Residence Inn. Will be there all weekend, I don't want to chance missing one minute with Ash. With it Memorial Day weekend, we could get an extra day or 2 instead of grad and go to A school.

Anyone have any different ideas for site seeing other then Chicago?

I haven't heard anything from my daughter either.  I am hoping for a letter this week.  I got a letter from her husband who also has PIR 5/25, but is in a different division.  He was able to write, because he had wisdom teeth pulled and was SIQ for 2 days.  I have not booked a hotel or flights yet, but will in the next week or two.

Wife and Husband Team!! That is GREAT!!

You have got to be on cloud nine and pins and needles.!

I would think that her not writing yet means that everything went well for her in her physicals and what not and that she is going to be contacting you soon!!

I think it is great that your son-n-law wrote you during his recovery time. How long have they been married- if I may ask?

They got married in October.  It was sad, because he told me he knows where she is, but they won't allow him to write to her.  I am actually considering the marriot.  It will just be myself and my niece, because my boys have testing in school that week. :/  I am also planning on attending Sarge's meet & greet..
