Got my letter today!, anyone else have a son/daughter in this Division?

Hang in there brandie, I haven't gotten anything either. I am sure when they get the time they will write, I believe they are allotted time to write on Sundays, hopefully they gave them sometime on Wednesday the 4th since they were on a holiday schedule.

Still shopping around for a hotel to stay at for the week.  I'm probably going to stay the week, just in case they give my SR extra liberty I want to be there & if he only gets the day of PIR then I guess we will do some sightseeing :o). Ive heard mixed reviews on the Ramada any comments, or suggestions? Has anyone decided to go to any of the meet & greets? If you are, which one?

Hi Emtmac- I heard the Ramadan was nice. I am on a budget so I am staying at the Navy Lodge for 4 nights. I'm from California so my plane ticket is going to cost me. I have already RSVP'd to Sarge's meet n greet. Heard nothing but great things about that one.

I was also thinking about the Navy Lodge, heard the brown bag their breakfast which is convenient for PIR. I don't want to waste time waiting in line for breakfast to cook. I'm on a pretty tight budget myself, but wouldn't miss PIR for the world!
I've read good things about Sarge & he personally attends every meet & greet, which I think is awesome

Oh no, I hope your daughter is doing better now, did she start out in DIV 257? From what I have heard from others on here, no news is good news, I would hope they would let you know if anything had changed.  I look forward to meeting you as well, are you planning on going to any of the meet & greets?

Just got my first 2 letters from my SR today!!!!! Just wondering if you all know that they have moved for some reason from Ship 07 to Ship 14.  My SR did not say anything in his letters about the move but on the outside of the envelope I noticed the return address was not the same as the address I had been writing to.  I hope my SR will still get all my letters.  Any one else receive any info on this?

I also received a letter to day yay!!!!!! the return address is different just like yours.  My son didn't say anything in his letter, but I guess from reading stuff from some of the other parents they had to move out of ship 7 because the A/C went out.

I am wondering if the discussion group name should be changed to Ship 14 instead of Ship 7, since they moved unless we wait to hear more? I wonder who could find out if this change will be a permanent one?

Sheryloverall- they did change to ship 14 but they will have their mail forward. Notice the address and zip code are different.

WOW we got 2 letters today one was 8 pages long written over 3 days! So good to hear his sense of humor has not been yelled out of him :-) he really misses us and cant wait to see us in a few weeks. Its good to hear about his day to day activities.

Has anyone gotten a call from their SR in div 258? My boyfriend said many got calls but he got his wisdom teeth out and wasn't able to!
