I got my letter this week end and what a welcome sight that was in the mail box. I think it actually took me a minute or two to pick it up. lol  I think I was in shock I was already getting information from my son. I spent the rest of the night on line trying to get the best deal on flights and writing letters to my son. I'm looking forward to chatting with all the wonderful ladies on this site. I think it will make this adjustment that much easier for me.

sorry to hear this. i hope and pray we all get a phone call or letter soon. i live now for the day in hope of hearing...."mom, it was all worth it".
I am SO looking foward to that as well. I know once I hear his voice I it will get better for me (& him I hope). I didn't even realize they sent out the informatin letters so I was excited to see that. I will really be excited when I get that first letter from my son. I know all of our boys are going to be just fine. :) it's just hard to get use to.
like an idiot i told grandmaw about their lack of sleep. then she started worryin' which got me to worryin' about her....moms can't catch a break....we worry....it's in our job description! LOL
I don't think you are an idiot, it's just the "mom" curse lol I'm sure all of them have gotten more sleep now. I know I got my letter just a few days after he left and they knew they would be awake for a long time after getting to BC. Things are probably much better for then now.
my husband is ship 13 div 321 as well. i've been doing tons of research on hotels, flights and car rentals. very impatiently awaiting this day to come!!
hang in there Adam's Wife ;) i too was a new bride with a husband in the army 40 yrs. ago. hope to meet you at PIR !!!
i'm trying. haha. i got our 2 boys over here keeping me as busy as they can
glad to hear you have someone there to keep you busy. hope it makes time fly by for you. :) How old are you boys (if you don't mind me asking)?
yeah. i have a 2 year old and a 1 month old. the 2 year is the one that keeps me the busiest. he's always going going going.
I'll bet your 2 year old does keep you busy. I'll bet the 1 month old keeps you on your toes as well. Gosh, it seems like my boys were that little not so long ago. They grow up so fast. Although it never feels that way when they are having a tantrum or screaming. lol
that is true. i can't wait for the tantrums and screaming to come to an end. i know i still have a few years for that though. lol. the newborn is actually very easy. he's very mellow.
Ya know, I'm not sure the tantrums ever really do stop....they just have them over different things as they grow. lol My 2 oldest boys are just 2 years apart so I can relate to how you feel. I was a single mother at the time so we had our good days and bad days. Nice to know you have family close to help you though.
