My only child left yesterday 3/7 I received the "call" last night about 8:45. He sounded good but of course I worried all night just like all of you before me and with me.

Call the recruiting office and get the address ~ that's what a lot of us here have done!
good momoffive, you got the address?  Excellent.  Our box, so funny, had a stray sock.  Hmm.  Wonder where that came from and no pants...hmmm. wonder where they went?  I'm anxious for next week.  We should get our official letters and maybe a letter from our boys late in the week.  That is def something ot look forward to.
yeah they aren't allowed to write notes for their boy-in-a-box (as alot refer to it) but they've already filled it out and it be coming in the mail soon. Be careful about calling recruiter to get info such as his ship and division, because sometimes it can change depending on what is going on up there.

When I opened my box my son had wrote "love you" on one of the flaps. I wll probably never throw that box away. Other than that it contained those same items...hang in there...ladies...we're all in this together =)

glad to know that i am not the only one..im so excited for him however so miss him
My son left 3/7 and my recruiter gave me his address Wednesday and I have already sent a letter.  Got his box today! :(  Even though I have been thru BC myself this is harder!
I finally talk to his recruiter on Fri. and sent his first letter this morning even though I know he won't be able to read it til next Sun. it still made me feel better  to at least have a sense of where he is and to send how much I love him.
My son left out of Dallas Monday as well. Got his "box" on Thursday. We were told he would call today (Sunday). Anxiously waiting by the phone.
Who told you he would call today?  That would be awesome!  Hope he does!  Do you know what Ship and division he is in?
I was told not to expect a phone call for at least 3-4 weeks..the recruiter told me what Ship and division my son is in
He told his girlfriend he would be able to call Sunday-I think he got it from the recruiter.  I haven't heard from him yet.  I realize he will call when he is allowed...so hanging in there for now :)
Don't know what Ship and division he's in.  We're going to call the recruiter Tuesday if we don't hear from him by then.
