Molly's special hugs are headed for a medical clinic in Kuwait! This is kind of like a MASH unit. Guys and gals pass through this clinic for medical care! So our mission this month is two fold- take care of the wonderful staff that puts themselves on the line every day and send some mom love to those wounded warriors coming through the clinic on their way to Iraq and Afghanistan.

Our contact, a Navy nurse says "We get along well in our unit for being strangers to each other, but that is the beauty of being in the military you adapt and overcome. We do that together. We are here to help out the Army medically and we are getting used to their differences. I am glad I was chosen to come here, but I look forward to going home as well. I have 3 boys at home, ages 13, 3, and 1. They are being taken care of by my husband and mother. You can't imagine how much I miss and need them."

So our mission
For the staff- A unit of 20 men and 10 women, some single, some married with children. The women have requested tampons, pads, liners, body sprays, lotions and powders, and finger nail polish (no bright colors). The men have received some packages but would like deodorants and foot powders and such. They do have microwaves so think of fun snacks! They have also requested individual drink mixes! These wonderful caretakers share what they have with those passing through so lets shower them with love!

For the patients- what is better than a note from someone who cares? When you are hurt and far from home a few kind words mean so very much! So lets stock this clinic with cards and letter that they can hand to those brave injured warriors! Along with those wonderful notes, let's send trial size lotions, eye drops, toothpaste and toothbrushes and more! The wounded warriors passing through can pick up what they need and slip it into their pocket with that precious note from home! This clinic serves 40 or more injured in a normal day.

We want to ship our packages from October 24th to October 30th!

Check the Pictures and Letters discussion... While today is the end date for sending our packages to Kuwait... the first packages have started to arrive! See the first pictures sent along!
Hi Susan...yes we did receive the packages. The crew had a great time opening them. I have some pictures....unfortunately I did not get pictures of everyone because I ran out of battery.

The crew is crazy...so don't be surprised with what you see. The packages came from so many places. It was great to read out who and where they were from. They were saying thank you out loud for every package.

I am really grateful and my crew is also grateful to everyone of your volunteers...this made a bad day, believe me it could not of been worse than what it was yesterday, if you know what I mean, when we received a few more packages. Yesterday was a very hard day for all of us emotionally, but receiving the thank you letters and special thank you pictures. They were really nice and are posted on all the clinic cork boards.

Susan, please forward this email and pics to the moms that sent the packages. I wish I knew all their emails, but I know you know how to get it to them.

Thank you again and God Bless all of you.

Just sent my boxes out today. It is so nice to get thanks so quicky and know are support is without a doubt the best there is.
putting a face to the group makes this just so REAL. wow
I have one more box to go tomorrow... that is the best part that they think they have received all the love and they have no idea it is going to keep arriving! Thank you, thank you one and all!
Tee hee hee I know ---- and with that thank you letter saying the days have been sad and hard, it will be neat to think they may get a box a day for awhile. Maybe keep them in smiles and make their job and sadness for what they see just a little easier
Molly, you said it right about a package brightening up their day. Ben said that when he was deployed and they all gather around to see what's inside.
Hey, I even did that on tiger cruise. He got a box from a friends 8th grade class. It's an adventure to open those boxes. I could tell that none of them were mine, cause I put tons of the priroty tape on it. haha.
OK I just sent 4 boxes to Kuwait.
I do tons of priority tape too :) LOL LOL I always wondered how these woman send such great looking boxes where mine look all taped up .

Yeah momof 2 Thank you so much ~~
Mine too, I'm always afraid they'll pop open, that tape doesn't seem very secure.
I use a lot off tape too, but I buy clear package tape as not to distract from the MAS labels. :)
Also I don't like the kind the PO sent with the boxes that I ordered, it doesn't seem all that sticky.
I don't like it either, that's why I use so much haha. I put clear across the address and labels on the lower half.

That's why the grumpy PO guy was so grumpy once. He thought I used too much tape. But when you've had a box stolen from, well, I am going to make them work for it!
