For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Special Hugs in Kuwait for October
Our contact, a Navy nurse says "We get along well in our unit for being strangers to each other, but that is the beauty of being in the military you adapt and overcome. We do that together. We are here to help out the Army medically and we are getting used to their differences. I am glad I was chosen to come here, but I look forward to going home as well. I have 3 boys at home, ages 13, 3, and 1. They are being taken care of by my husband and mother.You can't imagine how much I miss and need them."
So our mission
For the staff- A unit of 20 men and 10 women, some single, some married with children. The women have requested tampons, pads, liners, body sprays, lotions and powders, and finger nail polish (no bright colors). The men have received some packages but would like deodorants and foot powders and such. They do have microwaves so think of fun snacks! They have also requested individual drink mixes! These wonderful caretakers share what they have with those passing through so lets shower them with love!
For the patients- what is better than a note from someone who cares? When you are hurt and far from home a few kind words mean so very much! So lets stock this clinic with cards and letter that they can hand to those brave injured warriors! Along with those wonderful notes, let's send trial size lotions, eye drops, toothpaste and toothbrushes and more! The wounded warriors passing through can pick up what they need and slip it into their pocket with that precious note from home! This clinic serves 40 or more injured in a normal day.

My box is not really for this month but for Christmas. I am sending a 2 ft tree and decorations like Christmas music snow blower and a douglas fir table top that sings Christmas songs. Puting little things to be open Christmas in tiny boxes to put under the tree and cards but no count as of yet. I am mailing on the 1st so I still have time to get more cards done. I will post before I send. I hope this is ok with the group.
Anyone want to send a set of lights or even ornaments for the tree? Thanksgiving will be here right after they get the box and didn't want to miss giving them a small Christmas. -

Mom of 2... you got it! Once you have your box packed it is good to go into the mail! Just let us know how many packages and cards you are sending and be sure to put some Molly's labels or write from Molly's adopt a sailor on the box!! It is so fun to see the number climb as so many moms around the country send something from their hearts!

btw, we packed a bunch of paperback books in the Illinois group boxes. Hopefully those who pass through can pick up from their new library, so to say, with no late fees!

i sent aug & sept group - didnt do this months - i still am amazed & curious - when you all talk about boxes - are u using the 11.95 military flat rate box ? - they dont hold alot - and to do up a few 12+12,,,,idk 24 $ just for the shipping -- let alone stuff ,,seems can get costly - are ya using a diff box that i cant find ???

I use 12x12 but they cost around $13.95, but yes, I'm supporting my local post office I think.

That is the box that I use! Don't feel like you need to send a big box every month... This month while we are shipping 'girl' supplies and snacks our focus is cards and letters! So the small box at 4.95 works for those also! If every mom in this group sent a small box of cards and letters it would be fantastic!

Wow... got a great deal on the individual drink mixes! At Safeway they have a deal going that you buy five boxes and get each for $1.49. Each box is usually about $3! I bought a bunch and figure I can tuck one drink mix in with each of my cards!
