Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I first want to say that this project is very near and dear to my heart. now on with what I am saying. We all have asked our recruit "Is there anyone NOT receiving mail?" only to responded back with a "Im not sure, or I don't know" It broke my heat to know that a kid was going thru Boot alone, with no a single letter from anyone, Not a pat on the back, not a Hey I'm so proud of you! Nothing. Well after Talking with a very nice Yeoman at RTC a few recruiters, a school and researching how to work with the system I have GREAT NEWS! All it will cost you is a stamp, 2 envelopes a letter and your time. Still game? Well Keep reading because have I got a proposition for YOU! We can reach these stand alones by reaching out to the entire division. What is needed from you is an encouraging letter that is not gender specific, think of what you would want your own recruit to hear, you can include your address so the recruit(s) can write you back, Address the envelope to "Sailor Recruit" your address in the left hand corner as usual, (you do not need a stamp on that envelope, Put that envelope into another envelope and mail them to me (I need 100 to go out to a division you can also include letters to the RDC's) Unfortunately The post office will not have a P.O. Box available for me Until after the 1st of December but you can mail them to my personal address until then (Please add me as a friend and mail me for my address) My hope is to get the first batch sent out by the first week of December (Please remember that if you are sending a card make the envelope white and not decorated) I will not read your letters although the RDC's may so keep them "G" rated! I already have the box ready to send to RTC I just need the letters. Ladies and gentlemen I feel this seed was planted with me because I know where to find the best gardeners to make this project grow. So lets make this grow ladies!!!

Kaye friends request sent. :-) Thank You and God Bless for participating in this project.
My son leaves December 7th. I would like to help. I sent you a friend request. God Bless.
I will be glad to help with thiswhats your address
Great Idea!!! One correction though, there are "Sailors" (those who have completed BST) and there are "Recruits" (those who have sworn in and are on their way to becoming Sailors), but there is no such thing as a "Sailor Recruit." SR stands for "Seaman Recruit" and is what all recruits are called while at the RTC.
I would like to participate in this as well!!! Friend request coming right up!!! Thank you for doing this. :)
