The USS Abraham Lincoln will be deployed for Christmas and has given approval for the ship to receive pillowcases while on deployment.   That will be 5,000 or more strong.

The main postings for this project will be in the Lincoln group under the thread called "The Lincoln Family Love Pillowcase Project".

I will update here as well so you don't have to join the Lincoln group.

Let us know what you can do to help us get the ship done!

that's great Lyn. thank you!
My mother in law is doing 8 for sure and I am gonna try to get her to do more. She is making Anthonys. So you dont have to worry about that. Just tell me where to send these to when she gets them done. Send me a PM if you would. Thanks.

LISA
Hi Lisa,
I saw that on the Lincoln page and always forget to comment. that's why I asked the moms to keep track here. This I always check, the Lincoln page is overwhelming to me so don't read alot of it.

I think that is wonderful that she is making Anthony's and 8 total. I appreciate the help. I have been doing an inventory for the squadron, but 240 is alot. haha.

I have enough money that has been donated to ship Ben's squadron. So if she could do 20 (but don't push her), then I can send the money for a medium flat rate box. If not, you can send those 8 to me. Do you still have my address from mailing Ben's card?
thanks Lisa!
Heard from Stephanie. She should have the numbers soon. She is working on a room for the pcs to be stored in, but we areon't gong to do that. Sorry, can't do that. We will mail when it's close to the time for them to be there. Not before.

But please pray for her and her family. She baby girl, 2 months old, will have surgery on 9-2 to remove a blockage in her uppper GI tract and her husband is having seizures and they haven't been able to find out why.
Stephanie says that we should have numbers in a day or so! Yipee! Numbers. Love it.

Kim, did you get the pcs?
sue - if I understand this one right.... we are stashing and if anyone needs some extras from us to complete their #'s, you'll post on here and we can help fill in? is there any special prints anyone is wanting? angels or holiday or??
We are doing an angel theme for the medical unit. Since these will be Christmas presents, Christmas can be used as well.

SA, the navy wife says we should have specific units soon. I hope that is true. So Natalie, we are sewing and stashing until we get more information.

At this point, HAE is working specifically on the units listed above.

Sorry to be so vague, but this is all the info I have to work with.
Not a problem, Sue. Just wanted to make sure I understood what was up. Sometimes I miss things so jsut wanted to double check. Thanks!
no worries.
I'm so excited!! I emailed everyone in my home address book with the info about this project and have gotten lots of positive feedback. My pastor has agreed to allow me to set up a display table at the church on Sunday and we may have a sewing day sometime in October if we get enough interest. I plan to send the email around at work tomorrow, have some other military mom's there that I'm sure would like to help out. Got my machine all tuned up and running....just need some fabric now. BTW Sue, I don't know if you want to add me on this page, but I'm taking on the VAW 116 squadron (approximately 200) as that is my son's squadron.
will do! and that is just awesome Alaina! I've always said "just talk about it. most people want to do something for our military, but just don't know what to do".
Hello, my son is part of squadron VFA-34. Please tell me what I need to do to help.
