My son is in bootcamp and to graduate on 11-8-13..will they be allowed a paycheck? and if so, when?
He left September 9th. He has a bill due, but don't want to mail a check without knowing.
Initial boot camp pay is quite small, and often lags behind what day you'd think they'd be paid, depending on how many processing days they had. Not unusual to be there a month before the pay begins. He might not get paid until the next pay cycle (military paydays are the 1st and the 15th, or the business day before). That is without the shutdown.
If you are unsure about the check, contact the lender/company and let them know he is in boot camp. Many will have no problem extending the due date.
Thank you. It actually is his cell phone that he is on with his sister..I appreciate your help
More specific info on the shutdown:
I read they can't grade the advancement tests from September, but I wonder if they will stop the next advancement test?
Can you tell me where to go to see results? Just find out he did test in September. Want to be able to check if and when they release results.
NavyTimes puts out a list when the advancements go through.
