Thought it would be nice if all of us in this ship/div could get together here.

the navy has two different types of school, Class "A" school is the general school where they will learn about their rating (job) in general terms. A  class "C" school is where they will learn more specific job skills.  Think of "A" school as learning about how to work on cars, "C" school would be where they learn how to work on Honda's or Ford's or even motorcycles.

Lucky young man!  Texas is best in Spring.  Lived here all my life.  What city is his A School?

sent a looong letter yesterday. guess he will get it SUnday week

Sounds great to me.  My SR

is a Nuke. What about your SR?

Hey,we got our phone call last evening!!!! So awesome to hear his voice though it cracked several times during the conversation. He sounded good otherwise.  They all need our prayers and good vibes as much as we can squeeze in for them.  he wanted to talk to everyone but only had 5 minutes as others were waiting in line to call home!!  Yippy!! two weeks down!  I have a better grip now on my emotions. I was able to go in his room last night and fell asleep on his bed. :))

Glad to hear that you got a call last night..it must have been awesome to hear his voice...was that on Christmas? I am also in 07/059 and didnt receive a call...you must be one of the lucky ones!! The only call I got was the 10 second "im here " call....nothing since...Good to hear that he is doing ok and sounded good...I wonder if anyone else in our division got a call??

have a good night

Chrissy,

Yours is coming at the perfect time!  No news is good news!  Our son's best friend went to the marines on Dec. 12th. and they did not get a call or address until the 28th.  They were besides themselves but he was just fine.  Let's hang in there together.  I read somewhere there was pictures of bootcamp on facebook.  I should have checked the date before  lost the post in my serch for Navy Bootcamp on facebook.  Oh well.

Hello Navy Moms of Ship 7DIV 059,

I am wondering about pictures from bootcamp.  Anyone out there know how we get them?  I have my nephews picture from marine bootcamp.  Precious and priceless.

have gotten my second letter, missed the call, but got voicemail. good to hear his voice, he called his Grandmother and brother so that was awesome. he is doing well now, first letter was not so good, but I know he is a hard worker and will endure. Has passed text book test so far. So that makes him feel better.

On Facebook, if you go to U.S.Navy Recruit Training Command, they have pictures that get posted when someone wins the Trivia contest.  If they win they get to say what division they want a picture of posted.  They used to post random pics of bootcamp but too many people got greedy about asking for certain divisions to be posted so they stopped doing that. :(  They also have forums for us too and we have one for our division.

I haven't got a call yet either but I know it will happen eventually.  4 more weeks!  We can do this! :)

One month and counting!

Hi everyone.  It is too quiet around the house.  I do wish I could just catch a glimps of him at work with his division.  Anyone get news this week as to what they are doing.  My SR had wisdom teeth taken out last week.  so different not being part of the decision process with him..... oh well..  he is a big man and capable!  I had to go back to work this week.  Hubby tolerating chemo well so he didn't need me hanging over his shoulder.  Talk to you all soon.
