My son is in 950 ship 2.  I'm so excited to finally be in a group where we know our kids are together.  I'm already getting excited for graduation.

Where are you from Tmpray?  I am from MI.  Do you have plans to attend graduation?  If yes, where are you staying?  We are staying at the Navy Lodge.

Farah, my grandson is ship 2 div 950 and I think will be in PIR on 10/23/15.  I will not be able to attend, but will try to see streaming.  Hope you can attend since MI is much closer than AL.  I don't know how big these groups are, but our loved ones may know one another.

Ginny (aka connect...)

I'm still looking for folks with an SR in Div 950.  Just want to know what the duties of this DIV will be during PIRs.  I think the Div 950 has duties at PIRs prior to their own, but hard to pin down specifics.  Any info will be greatly appreciated.  My grandson is Ship 02, Div 950.  Thanks for your response.  Ginny (aka connect...)

connectwithnavy, The Page, 800 and 900 Divisions, within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will be of interest to you since you have a recruit in a performing division. I believe that Division 950 is Ship Staff/Honor Guard.

I left that on your My Page on the 4th.

Lemon, I did read the link you shared. Thanks. I'm looking for specifics (into the details). My plans have now changed. I'm going to GL so I can get that hug after PIR. Decision was too late to get on the list of 4 guests, but that's ok. I can watch from Navy Lodge lobby. I'll be the one with a box of tissues, and maybe trying to borrow more from other folks. Ginny --- connect...

:o)

Actually, your recruit has not submitted the names for the Access List. That will be done 3 to 10 days before PIR and can be changed up to 24 hours before PIR if needed. The recruit decides who goes on the Access List.

lemonelephant, it's a little more complicated.  My SR grandson will and should put his parents, his sister (if she can miss school), and his mother's parents on the access list.  They all live in the hometown.  I fully understand and agree with the people who will be given access.  I just want to see him before he heads to another 8 weeks before A school in an unknown (to me) location.  I'm sure there are SR's with 2 parents and 4 grandparents who would all like to be given access, but since 4 is max, a decision must be made.  I have not asked to be given access and I don't plan to ask unless something happens and there's a magic spot.  TMI - Ginny aka connect...

Yes, he makes the choice and sometimes it's a tough choice. I'm glad you are able to go to GL and spend some time with him.

I left info on his rating on your My Page last week--including the location.

I didn't find anything on my page re rating, nor anything from you. About the access list...he made the right choice. Really the only choice he had. His mother, father, sister, and maternal grandmother will be there, and I will be there (in Navy Lodge lobby) with my husband (former Navy and strong supporter of his Navy decision), and his maternal grandfather. He will have lots of hugs and support. Thanks for all you do for this group.
A new question for you. What does phase up during Navy boot camp mean?
Phase up is a term used in "A" School referring to different privileges that the Sailor has earned.
