WOW there is so much great info to read here....Good morning ladies, my son is currently still in BC and is set to PIR on the 27th. The letter that I received from him yesterday said: "Mom I am FTS so technically I am reserve. My orders are (AE AT AI) exactly this so do some research for me please." Well he knows his mom well and I will become obssed with researching this....lol! However, with something being this out of the box for me I don't eveen know where to start plus I know he is wanting me to start sending info as soon as i can. Does anyone have any suggestions for me on where to start weeding through this?
Good Sunday All! Woke this morning to a couple of inches of new snow! It's so pretty pout there!
Party? Did I hear mention of a Party? Va sounds fun! I have a brother that still lives in Norfolk... Let me know when, and I will bring baked goodies! Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!
Hey Y'all. Rain here in the suppose to be sunny south. Thanks for all the great info, it really helps a newbie. And My Son leaves on Tuesday, by truck to Lemoore, he and his dad will have 7 days to get there. And then dad will fly back. Looking for a trip to the west coast maybe in the fall Depending on my Sailor's schedule. Never been to California, so looking forward to it. Y'all have a great weekend and let me know when we go to VA.
Debbie yes your son would deploy on another carrier until the RR is ready. My son has a friend that was on the RR and came back in from an 8 month deployment and got sent back out 2 months later on another carrier.
Just want to say YOU LADIES ROCK!!!! I joined this group last week when my son arrived at P'cola after BC. You quickly gave me info and pointed me in the right direction for my questions. I have to tell you how much I love your enthusiasm. You are such a happy group and I can feel your excitement both when you talk about your Sailors and in general. My job is kinda stressful right now so all week long whenever I needed a little pick-me-up I would go to this group and your comments put a smile on my face. I'm looking forward to my son's Navy journey and getting to share it with you. Have a Wonderful Weekend! Give yourselves a pat on the back - your're great!
Thanks Cathy, I appreciate your answer. Being new to all of this, I didn't know what they meant. So I guess if he is deployed he will be on another carrier. Good to know. Thanks.
Drew's Mom the RR is headed to Washington. It is going in for upgrades/repairs.
Hey Y'all. Thanks Sherrill, it's hard on us Moms. He is our only and although he is 6'4", in my eyes he is 2-years old with blonde curls and always will be. So glad to here yours will be home soon.
I do have a question for you more experienced moms. Mine will be in VFA-146 at Lemoore and assigned to the R Regan carrier. But on the web it says the Regan status is inactive as of 2012, what does that mean?
Happy Friday ladies! Hope that you have a great weekend! I am trying some new yummie recipes tonight... will let you know what Hank says! LOL! I have barred him from snacking and grazing all day since New Years day. Too many goodies throught the holidays! He was grouchy all day yesterday! LOL
B is back to P'cola and they have put him on medical hold... they are reviewing all of his medical records. He had that seizure last summer, ( they called it heat stroke then) and was put on meds and has not had another...His Dr said he would support B's decision to stay in the Navy. He doesn't want to take a disability and discharge. ( They haven't offered it to him yet, but he wants to stay in the Navy!!) So I guess they are doing all new tests in the next few months. It doesn't look like he will get any orders 'til this is done...keeping fingers crossed and saying prayers.....
Hey 3ds-always glad to see you back!!!
