The back gate takes you to Blue Angel Hwy. and Lillian Hwy (Hwy 90).  Twice we rented a place off of Lillian Hwy.  I just checked on the website and it shows $60 a night for 2 plus $7 a night for an extra person.  I am sure once spring arrives the prices will go up.  We enjoyed the houses because they were fully stocked and I could cook for my son and we had more room to just hang out and relax.  The people you book through are very knowledgable of the area and can tell you how far they are from the base.  Be sure and tell them you are coming to visit your son that is in the Navy.  If you have anymore questions let me know.

Redsmom check out the website vrbo.com. We rented a house everytime we went to visit our son in Pensacola for less than what we would have paid for a hotel. A couple of times we rented a place just a few miles out of the back gate.

Talked to R and his ATT classes are going good. He commented that he is the only AT (O strand) in his class otherwise filled with aircrew & marines.

Said the PUREX laundry sheets I sent were kewl....thanks again for the idea ladies!!

He finally informed me yesterday that he DOESN'T want us to stay on base when we come to visit in March...now to look for a hotel off base but not too far......
