MNM - it sounds like your son is headed down a great path in life....and staying in Cali well that just gives you a great excuse to vacation!
Connie - that cue makes my mouth water mmm mmm mmm! And a happy happy Sailor YEAH!!!!
Need some ideas from you all. My son's birthday will be coming up in just a couple of months and I'm looking for gift ideas. He'll be out at sea and I know he doesn't have much room on the ship but I want to send something he can open, not just a gift card. Any ideas? Also, I've heard of moms sending sheet sets. Is it really ok for them to have different sheets on their rack. I thought perhaps I could send a "Mizzou" set to personalize his little area. Does a twin set fit? Thanks for your help ladies!
Good evening my girlies! well the cookout for the expectant parents went well. The Dad-to-be sat down at the patio table and declared that Poppa Smurf had accomplished a trifecta...cheeseburgers, hot dogs and chicken wings! we all had a great time and I thank the Lord for sending this young couple into our lives at a time when we are missing our Sailor so much.
Sailor Son couldn't be happier these days.....he emails regularly and was so pumped this week with the new drone being launched from the carrier. he got to see the launch and the "touch and go" as reported on CNN. and he got to meet one of the designers of the B-2 Stealth!!!
i had sent him an email telling him that we had to replace the pool pump. he replied "well i am in a really big pool and sitting on a the world's most expensive lounge chair". LOVE THAT BOY!!!!
y'all have a wonderful week!
MNM, your Marine is going to have a wonderful life! He knows his Momma loves him.

Thanks joshmom and lulu! Lulu the picture was taken at their ceremony in Texas. They had a garden wedding at our house and the flowers and trees made for a beautiful backdrop for the pictures.
