Just got back from camping and had a wonderful weekend....a little chilly but the leaves are changing colors and it is such a beautiful time to be outdoors.

Sherrill - I hope you don't think we tent camp....those days are long over!  We have a camper with all the luxuries of home so we aren't exactly "roughing it".

CC - Praise the Lord you're ok!  Been so worried about you.... glad the new hip is doing great!  Give B a big hug and thank him for his service to our country.  Best wishes to him in college and in all his new endeavors.

Matts Mom - Keep us posted on the arrival of that bundle of joy....so exiting!!!!

Jill - your daughter will get that "knock on the door" to start classes when she least expects it.  So glad she has made good friends.  I know my son has made some life long friends in the Navy.  I can tell by the stories he tells me that his new Navy friends mean more to him than his high school buddies do now.  His grandpa told him when he left for bc that a Navy buddy would be a buddy for life.

Hope you all have had a great weekend!

Wow CC you have really been through some tough times but glad that you are on the mend now!  Glad to have you back.

We are on baby watch.  They went to the hospital Friday night and but sent them home yesterday to wait.  Should be anytime now.

Happy Sunday greetings to all of my dear Mommies! So sorry I have been lax on updating you these past months... Bet ya thought I fell of the planet, huh? Just figured you didn't want to hear about this long process of playing musical hip implants. First off I am doing great! I am now the proud owner of a whole new hip technology and one of 20 in the country who have it. Had it put in on my 55th birthday (Aug 29, 2012) It was all I wanted , best gift I could have asked for. Both surgeries, May removal and Aug implant went well but were tough. The hardest thing was learning to go 4 months with no hip at all! Wow, it gives you a whole new look on life! I am now up and out of the wheelchair, which I was glad to have but it crimped my style (Cooking and baking mostly) and now am using a walker which is interesting but going well. So much atrophy!! Hoping to be strong enough in my R leg to start driving soon. Got 5 star patient ratings all the way through and even was asked to be in a commercial for the Joint Replacement Center! But the Best news of all...B is home with his family!! He did end up getting the Medical Discharge, but he qualified for his benefits andhas already started college classes in Sept!! It was tough on him to take the discharge because he was so driven to serve but he is adjusting well!

I have missed all of you, my friends and thank you for all of the support with all of this. Please know I think of you all everyday and have all of your Sailors and SR's in my thoughts and prayers!! Love and Hugs to you all and to all  of the newbies to come... Connie <3

Happy Saturday ladies.  I do read all of the posts here, but I don't post much.  Basically because my daughter is still on hold in Pensacola.  She has been there 7 weeks and hasn't started any of the classes yet (not even the prerequisite classes, ATT or AWAT).  She said the list came out for those classing up in the next few weeks and she still isn't on it.  She has taken the night shift watch which means she works each night from 10PM til 6AM, then sleeps, then runs and works out, then hangs out with friends, then does it all again.  She really isn't complaining much as she has found a group of friends she really enjoys.  But she really does want to get classed up so she can move on to the next phase and start working in the 'real' Navy :-)

Have a great weekend everyone.

good morning my girlies! hopefully now my neighbor will stop calling the police every time the FBI shows up...now that we know it is/was the FBI, it's kinda funny how the local cops would SKEDADDLE after they would check out the guy doing the surveilling. those squad cars would ZOOM outta here.

Duck Bus....y'all don't forget me and Sissy!!!  we'll be on the curb waiting.

Connie, I think I'm really going to enjoy this group!  Your story reminds me of the nosey neighbor, Gladis, on Bewitched!  Hahaha!  Made my day!  My SR sent me a picture of the carrier that "pulled up" the other day.  I love this technology.  I am so glad I get to be a Navy mom now instead of years ago.  I feel like I'm there with him.
