Happy Cinco de Mayo! Wow! It sounds like everyone has kicked off their weekends with a blast! Car shows, Bakery's, Fishing with catered food, Family and Gardening! Mr. Sneaky better watch out too!

It is going to be in the mid 90's for today's parade and then rain mixed with snow tomorrow into Monday! Only in Colorado! Will get some time with Jessi and Abi tomorrow for Jessi's Birthday!

Joshmom- The garden center sounds like such great idea! Wish we could support it too! We still have to the containers for the porches too.

I almost forgot to mention all of the car clubs that come for the parades and then a big Car Show too!

Good Morning! Had a great time yesterday evening. The weather was perfect and the fish were biting. The boys were having so much fun they wouldn't come up to the house to eat so I packed everything up and took supper to them. Today is going to be a busy one. Got to get the garden planted with veggies and plant flowers all around the house. I've got a bunch of containers on the porch to fill. We've got a new garden center in town that employees only handicapped and my beautiful neighbor is working there and I promised I would buy all my plants from her. I'm sure I'll spend way too much this year but it will be well worth it. Have a wonderful weekend!

CC wishing you beautiful weather for the festival!  It sounds like a blast.

Lots of car shows in our area this weekend.  We are going to one tomorrow evening at a local bakery.  They are rolling back the prices to 1941 when they originally opened.  Taking the grandkids so it should be fun.

After nearly 3 years in the Navy my son is on his first deployment.  Our DIL is coming in a couple of weeks to stay with us while he is gone.  They are expecting their first baby but he should be back before her due date.  Spoke to her last night and sounds like she is really missing him.

Have a great weekend everyone!

It's Friday! It's Friday! This has been a hectic, but good week! Lots of running around to do and that really wears me down. This weekend is a big deal here locally...It is the 74th annual Canon City Music and Blossom festival. Carnivals, Craft Fairs, a Circus, Parades, Queens and Marching, Field Show and Jazz Band competitions. So many years of great memories, since B played 1st Trombone all through school. It has attracted Jr High and High school bands from all over the country for years. Hank and I have spent many springs sitting on the curb enjoying all of the festivities! This is one of the first years we have had a lot of out of state bands in a long time. The economy and all. Keeping our fingers crossed for good weather and no rain or snow! Lol!  Hope you all have a festival of a weekend!
