I wouldn't do that.. they have to phase up and the first week in a new place and starting school with all the mandatory study time you won't get to see your sailor very much

Can anyone tell me if we can visit our Sailor a week after they arrive to A School? We have vacation and would love to surprise our Sailor with the news.

Hi Moms- My son's PIR is 6/1 and he will be going to A school in Groton.  I feel like I'm just understanding basic training and now want to learn what A school is like.  Any advice about where to look?

Just curious-Is anybody else on here that has a sailor who graduated BESS on March 26th & will graduate A school May 25th? I've looked thru many messages & deosn't seem anyone else is on that timeline. Doesn't matter, I consider us all Navy family but I just wondered. Thanks!  :)

Hi NewNavyMom, my daughter is a CE Seabee in Wichita Falls, TX her school isn't on the list either, there doesn't seem to be alot available for our Sailor's groups unfortunatly, I also joined the Seabee Mom's group, I love all the connections through these sites as well, everyone knows how we feel because they have "been there done that" or are going through it just like us.  Thank you everyone for all your help!

Hi All!

My son had his PIR on 4/20 and is now in Port Hueneme, CA.  I looked on the A-School list that marine-navy mom included on a link and unfortunately that is the one A-School on the list that doesn't include a link.  He is a CM Seebee.  Does anyone have any info for that?  I did join the Seebee mom's group and this group and maybe there isn't a link for that school.  I have really enjoyed the connections I have made through this site with other moms.
