Anyone that has a son or daughter in the Norfolk/Dam Neck/Virginia Beach area during the Christmas holiday who can't go home, we would love to invite them to our home for Christmas dinner. Just let us know.

9 more days for us...our daughter chose to come home for just a week so that she'd have more time to spend with us before going to her first post!!

Thanks marine navy mom. Yes I mean housing for our family while we visit our son! Excited! Thanks for the info.

The Navy does have housing resources for sailors who will not be going home during the two week break.  And there is always a USO Division available for the personnel.  You can join the Sailors Rescue site.  I noticed that some families open their homes to sailors for the holidays.

Hello, I am slowly adjusting to Navy life with my son with thankfulness and pride! Does anyone have any suggestions for lodging in Pensacola in December after Christmas?

Glad some of you have heard (whistling).  If he doesn't make it home for the holidays, I'll be okay.  This is the military, they have their own time and reasons for what is done.  At least that's what I'll keep telling myself....

I'm right there with you...my sailor comes home on the 22nd and I CAN'T WAIT!!! :)

He was worried, but I guess things are going okay.  I haven't heard that he's not coming home, so that is a good thing.
