ladies, does anyone know when a Sailor gets the next opportunity to advance to E2 if they did not do so in bootcamp??

One word of advice to all going to PIR: When you get to your hotel Thursday , sign up for the bus/van that goes to the base. You will get on base quicker then driving a rental car, then you can take a it or  a taxi back to your  hotel.

We made hotel reservations at the Holiday Inn in Waukegan as soon as we received the letter.

That's great, I look forward to seeing you there. Where are you staying? I made reservations at the Quality Inn but I haven't heard anyone mention it. Was going to stay at the Holiday Inn Express, but they were booked up.

It helps knowing that I am not alone. I am so very thankful for this site. Are you going to the meet and greet on Thursday night? My husband and I will be driving from Ohio. It will be nice to meet everyone.

Thanks for the update, Lady Hamilton. It has been 4 years since Ghrissy had her PIR. I took her to Applebee's for lunch. She was real happy to get food that wasn't from the galley.

Happy 1st Navy Anniverasry, Rowe's Mom.
