I hear ya but hang in there! This is my first time away from my daughter with little or no contact and I've been going thru alot of adjustments but I did find that if I go to her bedroom and sit there for awhile, it kinda helps. Her PIR is 11/1.

Im beside myself today I want to get a letter from Tiffany so bad I miss her so much. I just pray she's okay and doing good which I know she is fine and ok but not hearing from her is killing me. I know I got to be strong for me and for her. Sorry just need to vent.

Kathy-Paiges mom-that must have been a shock for sure. I would not be happy, but what can you do but pray that all works out for her and her husband.

Heard from my sailor a few times this week-she is back in port and has a bit more free time. Hopes to be home in December and her BF will come here to meet us-looks like it is getting serious. Looking forward to meeting him. I am hoping for no surprise wedding though..

Morning Ladies, haven't been here in a week or so, life tends to take over some how.  Kathy sending lots of support, not sure I'd be doing very well, don't handle surprises well.

When my children were born my father, may he rest in peace, decided to give me the "secret to raising children speach"  I was expecting extremely insightful advise....LOL...teach them right from wrong....and pray alot.  The whole of the speach...his only addition, and living it has been less than easy, the most difficult thing as a parent is giving them wings...allow them their decisions and mistakes. Don't know about anyone else, but I'm still working on that one.  Hope all works out for you and your daughter.

Kathy, I am just surprised it doesn't happen more often. Being on a ship together, close quaters, long time with a small group of people. Stuff happens. Be thankful he is a good man and married her instead of just fooling around and leaving her.

Kathy-Paige's Mom-I can only imagine your shock and concern at this turn of events. But I must confess that I did something similar to my parents 30 years ago. I became engaged to my husband (a sailor on a submarine) one week after we met; we married three months later. Since I had been planning to marry my college boyfriend (whom my family loved), this was a major shock to everyone. Hubby and I have now been married for 30 years, and we have no regrets.  My oldest sister (who was in the Navy at the time), also married a fellow sailor after only knowing him a short time. They will celebrate their 44th anniversary tomorrow. So, while the circumstances of the marriage may not be ideal, it doesn't mean the relationship is doomed to failure.

We will keep Paige, James, and your family in our prayers.
