This is a great place to be and I'm sure you will fit in just fine Michiganbelle

I keep wandering around these sites looking for where I fit in, and this is definately the place! My daughter Jill left for bootcamp on my birthday April 23rd, and she is in her 5th week, so PIR is 21June2013. I am SO excited to see her! I have only had 1 VERY short phone call and one letter. She sounds happy and strong even though she said this is the hardest she has ever worked and hopes that I pray a lot that she passes everything

Yea, Kathy, what a blessing Paige will be home soon!!  For how long will she be home?  How often were you able to contact her or vice versa when she was gone for the 11 months?  Just curious about that stuff.  Also will pray for the healing of your back~~

Kathy,

You should be so proud of yourself as well!!!  We understand how hard it is on us Moms when we have to deal with these long separations!!!!  Enjoy your time with your girl!!!!  Hugs to you and her!!!  {{{ . . }}}

We did not know MEPS meetings open to families, but I met with her recruiter to ask questions and she was very helpful. We went to swearing in but not to airport. There was not enough time between her swearing in and her flight she wanted to do that on her own without us. I think she was really ready to go and didn't want to drag out the goodbye too much. It worked out, because I could not have held back the tears any longer.

Kathy-enjoy your time with Paige!

Welcome back, USS Peleliu. Paige can't come home till next Tuesday, Because of a recent back injury I cant fly out for the homecoming. I'm very upset about it! But at least her dad and her step mom will be their! How did I ever get through these 11 months, I opened the door to her room for the first time yesterday. by the grace of god and all you wonderful ladies! I can't tell how much all your support has meant to me!!! 11 months ago I was sure I'd never get through this, all the important things Paige has missed! But I'm on the home stretch, and I'm feeling over the moon! My baby girl is coming home!!!
