Hi Moms! I'm hoping someone can help me.  My daughter's PIR is on 5/17.  At what point can I send her makeup (I know there are limitations) and how do I send it?  One of my friend's daughters asked her to send hers so she could have it by the time their photos were taken, I'm just not sure how to go about it.  I'd be grateful for the tips!  Thanks!

Last nite with my Sailor Girl, but just wanted to congradulate all the sailors well job done!!!! I agree that it will be much easier for us parents now that our Sailors have their communication back. I'm sure I will be traveling more often now to see my sailor. Thanks to Catmom509, Anna, BIM and SoCal for helping me throughout this unbelievable journey. Thanks

Bim and Catmom509, she is staying in Great Lakes for 30 days then off to Fort Lee, Va. I'm just so glad to spend time with her. The 900 Division was awesome. We actually not leaving Chicago til Monday. Spending all weekend with her. I'm sure I will cry when I have to leave her.

Lauren's Mom,

Hope you will be able to meet your daughter at the airport!  The time spent there is precious.  If she is friendly with some of the other sailors, get some photos of her and her pals.  I neglected to do that with my daughter, but she didn't suggest it either.  If your are meeting her at Midway, it takes a solid hour to get there and there is a $14.00 all day parking at the Red Lot so you can save money instead of spending $5/hour at the terminal parking lot.  Lots of food choices there after everything opens at 6:00 am.

OMG!!!!! This PIR was awesome!!!! Div 921 (the band) was awesome!!!! I was all ready to cry, but didn't shed a tear. I was more amazed and proud that I didn't feel the need to cry. The Sailors looked sooooo good and amazing. The ceremony was very moving and longggggg..hahaha... It's been 58 days and I was ready to see my sailor girl. Finally got to see her and didn't want to let go. I want to thank all of you on this site. You guys help me at my worst time and help me get through BC. Good job to All divisions on PIR 04052013!!!!!!
