My daughter wad able to ship some stuff home from a school to lighten her load. She had to carry all her uniform stuff with her though. When she left for Japan she had seabag backpack garment bag and a wheelef suitcase. Don't know how she managed all that but she did .!!

Once they get completely out of the bootcamp control they can wear their own undergarments under their uniform as long as there is no see through especially when in their whites!!!  If they have to stay at RTC before they ship out for their school they cannot be caught with any non Navy issue things.  After my daughter had her PIR she ended up staying at RTC until the following Wednesday.  She couldn't have her cell phone yet or anything else extra.  So I waited until she got to A school and sent her stuff.  Or if you're lucky like jen was you can meet them at the airport and give her the stuff!!!!

When they get to A school they have to "earn" the wearing of civilian clothes so I wouldn't try to give her too much stuff to take at once.  Also keep in mind that when they leave A school, they have to be able to take all their stuff with them to the airport and then their next destination.  They will always have the full seabag with all of their uniforms including all the coats and boots plus whatever civilian clothes, and extras they collect.  That's when they should make plans to buy a good suitcase on wheels!!!

my daughter requested her own undies and bras to be brought to PIR! and when she came home from A school before she left for Japan, she left what seems like all or most of her BC undies home-so yes take those bras and panties. She can also have her purse and some civilian cloths to use once she can go out without her uniform later on in A school-at least that what it was like for her at GL for OS training

My daughter was PIR 3/1 - we met her at OHare @ 5am.  We had her fully charged laptop, cellphone, and a small stringbag with her girlie bras & underwear.  She tucked it all in her Navy issue big backpack.  She is now at A school and earned liberty last week.  They found the local mall & a Victoria's Secret. She said she couldn't wait to NOT iron underwear !

Friends,

"I in them and You in Me.

May they be brought to complete unity

to let the world know that You sent Me

and have loved them even as You have loved Me."

CatMom-as an RN who worked shift work-that will not be difficult for her-she will still be able to sleep at night-and then sleep in in the mornings. If she gets up late morning, does whatever she needs to do she has like 4 or 5 hours before class.

Friends,

"I pray also for those who will believe in Me

through their message, that all of them may be one,

Father, just as You are in Me and I am in You.

May they also be in us so that the world may

believe that You have sent Me."
