After only 2 weeks in holding, my IT daughter has classed up to Bravo in Pensacola and will start on Tuesday!  The classes are from 15:00 to midnight, I believe.  Does anyone have any tips on studying/sleeping/relaxing on this schedule and is it for the entire duration of A school?  I can't believe she'd have to live with this schedule the whole time!

Vikiboo, I love your nailbiting story, makes me wonder what they're teaching mine that I couldn't.

Thanks Pat!!  Why is the IT group so inactive?  Where's all the parents, wives, and girlfriends?

Hello All,

My girl has made it in BC for almost 3 weeks, her PIR is 5/3 (hope and praying)! Then she goes Nuke.  I'm really not sure what to expect once she gets there.  She's a tough kid.  We got her first letter yesterday.  She informed me that the Navy taught her something I never could, She stopped biting her fingernails!!  What a feat.  Our Sailors are amazing!!

Just booked a mom and daughter massage for after PIR.
Can't wait, is there a way to make the clock move faster?

Hi Pat!

My daughter will also be IT.  She is in Pensacola A school now.  I was wondering, after they receive their first 3 year assignment to a shore duty--my daughter requested Hawaii or San Diego--do they get assigned to a ship next and for how long?  She signed up for 4 years.
