It is located in the front panel. Back in the day, all pieces of uniform was stenciled. I haven't asked my daughter but do they still do this?

I don't know how or where on the lining it is but you might try potting newspaper between lining and coat so you don't ruin coat and marking it out with a permanent sharpie type marker or blotting it with rit dye. Or you could cut it out and replace the space with iron on patch.

Seems our sailor daughter is cold in San Diego. She asked us to send her some of her cold weather clothes. Her father offered his old navy peacoat. She said send it. She remembers it being better than her issued peacoat. She even remembers the buttons being prettier. She'll probably will wear it off duty but does anyone know if they can wear these on duty?? Any ideas on removal of his ssn on the lining?? This one is 31 years old.

Hello, My name is Julia.  My daughter just recently joined the Navy in August, a week after her 17th birthday.  Since she is still in high school, her ship date for BC is in June 2013.

the liberty centers offer a sign up for members who'd like to go out in town for the holidays. i know my family usually takes a lot of the single sailors home with us.
