Hi my name is sara and my daughter is now on a 9 month deployment aboard the USS Eisenhower.. she joined her shipmates on july 3rd. so far its been a very long deployment. extreme high temps like 130 and long work days. she has been to 3 ports so far which she has enjoyed.

I wish my mom had known about this group when I was in. My poor mom had one in the navy and one in the army.

I know they told my daughter her date to leave was suppose to be 12/26 but she ended up leaving 8/15. The good thing is she had ample warning so they should give you a couple weeks anyways.

Hey Everyone Linda here from SC. My daughter leaves Nov 20th for BC. Her recruiter said she might go early because they like to shut down for the holidays but we won't know when or if they call her to come early. Makes it hard to have her a party before she leaves. Guess we will just have to play it by ear. Uggh!!! Hope everyone is doing well!
