FYI, I didn't win. bummer. oh well, I tried anyway and I for sure wouldn't have won if I didn't try.
Leana, Mark's pc has been mailed to the ombudsman yesterday. along with another one. I will let her know they are coming, but he should contact her as well. maybe next week.

oh that's what I am doing wrong. cause sometimes I get it to work but not always and I didn't understand that. I hit the link icon first. thanks for telling this clueless mom.
But I do know fabric and pillowcases. haha. even how to get 37 in a box, like I did for the NY mailing.
Moms, have you come and joined HAE yet? We'd love your help.

Gloria, please promote this on your other pages and thank you for the count.

Gloria, please do copy the link! We want as many votes as possible. The trick on N4M to posting a link is to type the word or phrase that will serve as the hot link (I used the link itself). Then highlight it and click on the link icon beside the camera icon above. The paste the URL in there. If you don't do it that way, it won't show up.

Happy Thursday! I went to the doc yesterday and he said that I am in pretty good shape which is a good thing. I still have aches and pains but that is called "life" and getting older.

Definitely vote for Sue!! We don't want to dilute our Heads at Ease votes. I did not make any of the football pillowcases and I was only helping Sue to upload a picture. Turns out we both did.

Here is the link to vote:

Moms, if you are on facebook, would you vote for me on at J and O fabrics. They had a contest and we entered the pillowcases that we made for the sailors in Guam for Sept. Dori bought a bunch of the fabric from them. She's on there too, but vote for me. I couldn't upload the pictures, so she did 1 group. We want HAE to win the $50 gift certifcate which will go back into fabric for our deployed military. here's the link:

and HURRY = voting ends on Sunday. Thanks!

LeAnna, we are making him a new one. Lyn still has the embroidery program in her sewing machine.
I'd like to have it mailed to him direct. Would you pm me your email address so you can give it to me?

Would you be willing to write these letters? Susan said that 22 ships will be going to Haiti and we are trying to get letters in the hand of each sailor. You can go to the MAS room for the address or contact me.
Thanks and please pass the word! Sue
CALLING ALL MOMS! Here is a chance to let ‘our’ sailors know how much we love and support them! If there is one thing every Navy mom learns during boot camp it is to write a great letter! And you Molly moms practice it each and every month sending love to our deployed!

Will you please write a letter or thank you card to a Sailor aboard the USS Carl Vinson which is conducting humanitarian and disaster relief operations? Our goal is to send over 5,000 thank you cards to Chaplain ‘Fish’ by February 10th! He will distribute the cards and letters we send to the crew on the Vinson and the other Navy ships (the USS Bataan, USS Nassau and USS Comfort headed to provide support to Haiti!

Contact your local schools, scout groups and churches! Collect as many thank you notes and cards and send them along! The best (and most cost effective) way to send them might be a flat rate box offered by the Post Office! Let these sailors know that you are proud of them and say thank you for all they are doing!

For the address of Chaplain ‘Fish’ please contact me with how many cards you have gathered and I will be happy to provide the address! Thank you so much!

When the USS Carl Vinson pulled out of Norfolk January 12th on the way to their new homeport of San Diego they were singing ‘California Dreaming’. That night a devastating 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck Haiti and their destination changed. The Vinson was one of the first ships able to respond. We have all watched the news and seen the pictures. But can you imagine what it is to be at sea for the first time and called to duty in such an important mission? To feel the 95+ degree heat, experience the cry for help and pain, see the devastation up close?

Many of our sailors are boots on the ground and many more are providing support for them. Those sights and sounds will stay with them forever. The United States Navy has prepared them to do their jobs, and let's face it; we know they are the best of the best.

These sailors are pumping over 3,500 gallons of water a day to deliver to quake victims, launching well over 600 flights of aid and rescue from their deck, providing security and caring for many injured. They have given of themselves… working long hours, catching sleep when they can. Here is our chance to let them know how much we appreciate all they are doing!
