Advice for new spouses

Hello, everyone my name is Amanda. Thank you for joining this group! I have recently went through the whole process of becoming a PROUD NAVY WIFE.  I am starting this group to help all the new spouses on your journey.  Ask me anything!!!!

This is especially for wives, husbands, boyfriends, girlfriends, or fiances.

Everyone has a different experience throughout this whole process.  My husband started signing up in July of 2010 and did not leave for bootcamp until March 29th 2011, so we have pretty much been through a lot this last year and I would love to help everyone that I can understand things that I did not when we first started. He is now in the middle of A-school and I guess so are we.  It has not always been fun, but it is worth it in the end. I say this is especially for spouses becuase pay, and things like that are different for us, but mom, dads and anyone else is more than welcome to join.  I look forward to hearing from everyone, and hope that I can help you along the way.  This page is for newly married about to get married, or just being a new Navy spouse in general.  My husband and I have been together 6 years and married over 2 years now.  We have a 3 year old son.  Watching the children go through this is very difficult because they do not fully understand what is going on.  I am here to help!!!!  I have lots of ideas and experiences to share!!!!

Hi ladies!!!!  I have missed you all so very much...  How is everyone????  We just got into California yesterday.  I am lucky to have some family also in the military out here so we are crashing with them for a few days.  My hubby has to check in on Friday hopefully we can get our home soon.  We are going to be on North Island or around it anyway.  It is so big and beautiful here I am scared out of my mind.  I have never been a big city like this before....

If you end up on the 15 heading towards Las Vegas, stop in St. George, UT and get frozen custard from Neilsen's!! Lol it is the best thing ever!! Just get off on St. George blvd and make a right... its like 2 miles down on the right handside. Delicious : ) It is a mandatory stop for us everytime we go thru there... and it helps that the gas prices there are pretty low! LOL!

Ok I have used my insurance several times with non military doctors and they ever used is my military I.d. since the day I got it when my hubby was still in boot camp. I have never had one problem using it for me or my son I just went to an doctor for a woman's check up in Alabama so anyway I'm just saying that u shouldn't have any troubles the co pays are super small like less than 20 bucks and you don't pay until you get a bill except for prescriptions its 3 for generics and 9 for name brand!!! It's super easy
