Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Thanksb so much for all the info I undertsand th phase now and a little bit about the brown bag..I know military is not gonna pay to move me and its really not gonna cost me much I did the research. One answer I don't know is what his privalages are while he is waiting for class to start?? Or does the phase thing start right away????

Jenny and all else who can help....what are his prviallages like when he is waiting for school to start????? Cause I plan on move there right after he gets there and I know his wait can be long but how often can I see him. And can someone please tell me more about the brown bad chit please??????????? And once I move there since were having a baby and since I'm paying to move there myself could there be a chance his command may make it like an accompanied thing like be able to stay with us????

Hello all I'm trying to get an idea about what the wait is for avaition structural mechanic school is taking to class up....I know it changes all the time but if someones loved ones where the same rate what there wait was. And also can hubby pick up his brown bagger chit while waiting for school to start I will be moving there once he gets there. His class is only 2 months long but who knows how long the wait is I don't wanna risk it our babys due july 13. He will be in pensacola may 22 thanks

navywife22 if you will go to the group "Sailors in Pensacola and Corry Station too" you will find a discussion for arriving in Pensacola and I am sure that it will answer a lot of your questions. If not join the group and there are several members who are a wealth of knowledge on how things work in Pensacola.

Also if they are struggling in an overmanned rate tell them to keep working on their qualifications and volunteer for community service... Advancement is a combination of how they do on the exam, their time served, and their evaluation of service... if they are volunteering for the community service opportunities their command participates in it counts toward points on their evaluations... sometimes it can make a difference in a tight competition for just a few spaces...

good morning all my airman is moving along quickly in p-cola is in att now and will be done in a week and off to awat right after they are just gonna keep rolling them through, by the end of april he will be classed up for AS training we are so excited ready to move on to another adventure. is there anyone in here that had pir march 19 with sailors form div 130 ship 9

No worries that thanks for asking him. Does he know if the A school assignments are running behind for AS? I hear there is wait once getting to P'cola and was just wondering how true and how long. Thanks
