hi Carol, I'm with the Mich Bluewater Chapter 180. We have been doing the Boot projects. The mothers donate a combat boot that one of their children has worn. then we put a coffee can =1 pound size wirks best- right inside. We decorate with a yellow ribon and ask local business to display for donations. We also are planning a wine tasting party for thr early summer.

Hi all! I'm a Blue Star Mother from Michigan. Chapter 180 Blue Water. It's on the East side of Michigan in what Michiganders refer to as the thumb area. I believe our chapter has been in existance for about 4/5 years I just joined last year when my son Rob joined the Navy. It is a great group with all the other moms from the other branches.
this past Wendesday we packed up over 50 boxes to send tot he troops in Iraq and Afganistain. it was alot of fun and good will. also alot of tears as we all shared stories of our kids and past Christmas's. i think it should be a rule of each chapter to have a case of Kleenix at all gatherings.
Wishing you all happy Holidays. And Kelly - Thanks for the group
