Tina, I don't think they have the option to not call. I believe that is sort of an order. It is short and sweet. Did you get the call?
I know I am praying every day that she is able to handle this. Her fiance just recently passed away (2months ago) and she will be devastated if she doesn't make it through. She has wanted to do this for a very long time. Praying for our SR and and all of them. She called me at 10pm last night and sounded very scripted and then hung up. Of course I had to talk over her to tell her I loved her and was so proud.
KindredSpirit Welcome to Navy Moms, I am sorry that your Son is feeling or stressing about those things. He needs to focus and get all negativity out of his mind. I will pray for him, and please be strong for him, let him know he can do it with determination. BC is hard not all things come easy. I think he will do just fine stay positive! if there is anything I can do for you please let me know. and welcome.

here is some info on changes to Form letter that was put togeher by Hooyahsuzy great information.
Son is in same group as yours, and I did get a call around midnight from a very scared/stressed son, who is normally very chill and relaxed. He read 4 short sentences then said bye and hung up. NOt in his character at all, so i got on internet to see if that was normal, and apparently it is . Just i was thinking he wouldn't be fazed by things i had heard previously .....but i guess no kid is immune. Wasn't worried till that phone call! LOL Good luck with yours.
Hi my daughter sounded the same. It lasted about 15 seconds. I have had a huge knot in my stomach all day. She wants this more than anything. I need to stop googling things it is making me a wreck. My daughter trained for awhile before she went in but so worried about her not running in time. I have read about a few missing it by a few seconds then get sent home. Pray to god they all do great.
Tina, I think we all kind of felt the same way at the very beginning but it starts to feel a lot better once they start writing & calling. Im glad your daughter trained before leaving so that she can do well. Once you start writing to her send encouraging words my son loved receiving letters & drawings from his younger cousins. They really look foward to receive mail. Will keep both of you in my prayers :)
