I think Brenda Sue is taking the picture! I wanted to post it so that you guys will be as excited as I am about meeting all of you!!! Mark you calendars for the next meet and greet in California on August 29, 2009.

Who is planning it and where would the next MeetnGreet be for So Cal?

I would love to come for dinner and meet you all at the Spaghetti Factory but I'm too far in Southern CA. :-(

Hi Susan & All Nor Cal moms,
RE: Recruiting Officers for our Meet & Greet Events.
I invited Commander Romuel "Roy" Nafarrete to our October Event. He is in charge of recruiting for Northern California (from Ukiah to Porterville, from San Francisco to South Tahoe). When informed that we had a Meet and Greet in Nevada City, he said he would be delighted to drive to Nevada City for the September 13 Event. He said he did not mind the drive at all and he is happy to attend, even if a local recruiting officer has accepted Susan's invitation. He is checking his schedule to confirm an Oct date for Los Altos (most likely Oct 18 - more info to come). Here is CDR Nafarrete's profile.

Anyone is welcome to join us on the 13th in Nevada City. Check out the "Events' tab.

We have a little 'opportunity' for the 13th. Our city puts on a Constution Day Parade. The Blue Star Mom's are walking in the parade. I'm wondering if those coming on the 13th would like to walk down to the parade and watch it as part of our meet and greet. We can have lunch before - then come back to the back yard and eat again and share. Karen is a Blue Star mom and she will be walking in the parade. The parade start's at 2. I am planning on joining Blue Star Mom's as soon as I am working again. Think about it - and we can decide that day. Send me a pm if you want directions to come in the 'back way' becasue what I gave you was via the 'main road' where the parade will be. It is easy truly - and we will have plenty of markers out rw&b ballons.~s

Hey, how is everybody? Looks like busy connecting. That is awesome to see.
Our Nuke is now at Bremerton, and very happy. They all made it home safe and sound.
Things are quiting down here, especially since they left and school started. I'm still reorganizing the house and deep cleaning. Will be glad when I have it the way that I want it.
No job interviews yet - the Union is in Binding Arbritration with the Court. I'm not sure what that all means or will entail - but hopefully full reinstatement or a settlement.
Thinking about our meet and greet here in September - is you are in Northern California - and cam make it - tha twould be wonderful - we are looking forward to it.
Thank you for all of your prayers~s
