OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

NormaH...I will remember that for the next time! I love street fairs.

I stay at the Wyndam Resort in Oceanside. It has regular hotel rooms or suites with kitchen. BTW, Oceanside has a street fair every Thursday.

Jacque...check out www.mccscp.com/tlf-lodging‎. They have all kinds of information.  You will need to make the reservations.  Just let your son know when you will be there.  My son came to the lodge the next day because he wasn't done with Field Day.  They are understanding about those sorts of things.

We did stay at Ward Lodge on the base. My son had to come down and sign something saying I was his family. It was comfortable and clean and the staff was wonderful. That was last September. It was very affordable.

DramaSoul, did he do this after FMTB?
Comment by NormaH on May 9, 2013 at 6:35pm
Ruth VH, it's mine doing paperwork.
Comment by DramaSoul on May 9, 2013 at 1:55pm
My son isn't doing paperwork unless it is regarding the patients in his care. You are right since he passed the advanced life support in obstetrics, neonatal and pediatrics he could be rotated into L&D which he does not want to do!!! He just completed the Tactical Combat Critical Care training. He is getting to do some interesting things.
