God Bless indeed.  Thank you Craig for updating us.  Our prayers are with his family and friends.  I like eversteamco question regarding any way that we can help?  I would be more than happy to participate in something like that.  Just a show of love and support if possible?

Just and update from the Navy in Aurora:

This week the family of CTR3 John Larimer will be taking their son back to his hometown of Crystal Lake, Illinois for a graveside service.  The sailors in his department at Buckley AFB will be planning and coordinating the local service sometime the week of 30 July.  Exact detail on this event will be forthcoming.   They have not said if it will be open to the public or if it will be for his buddies and friends at his work space.

On Wednesday, 25 July, 0900 hrs, the building in which John worked will make an announcement over the Public Address System for all to stop and pause for a moment of silence to remember and pay tribute to CTR3 Larimer as well as all the victims in the recent Aurora Tragedy.  They are asking that when this announcement is made, please stop what you are doing and take time to reflect.

God bless you John....

Anything we can do for the family of the local Sailor? As a group of Colorado Navy  families?

Criag - I'm so grateful the movie was sold out when they go there.  I'm freaking out, and both my kids were in Groton, CT last night.  God was indeed looking out for your family.  May God comfort all those impacted, directly, indirectly, remotely.

9News has indicated that the DOD released a statement regarding the missing sailor.  They believe that sailor has been fatally wounded.

Craig I am glad all is well with your family.

Wow, what a day....

My son just flew out this morning after completing his leave.  Last night he and a friend were going to go out to be the 1st ones to attend the premier of the The Dark Knight Rises movie.  They wanted the 1st showing at midnight, but it was sold out.  So they got the 3am showing.  The theater which is 5 miles from my house is the one in today's shooting.  Talking about freaking me out....  He actually came running up to my bedroom and told me to watch the tv immediately.  Holy crap...

God was looking out for my family today....

Prayers to all victims of this senseless act, especially to the 2 Air Force and 1 Navy member from my base that were shot.....  God bless them all....

Tangela - Coffee sometime would be great. Working my tail off now to have money for Chicago but after PIR for sure. My little guy will be back in school then too. Come on in to Eilers some Wednesday night if you and your husband like cold beer.

@Kathy...Castle Rock would work as hubby can go wander the shops lol

@Krista That would be great. I have only been here since '09. My husbands family has been here since about 1975. Maybe you and I can meet up here in town sometime for coffee.

Hi KathyMmom- Thanks for the advice for PIR. I am so excited! Got a letter from him today and he asked that we stop at our hotel so he can shower by himself! LOL! Gotta love it. I will have to check how far the Cubs stadium is from the base... hope not over 50 miles! Did you go to the mall there in Gurney? My 9 year old loves malls but not sure if it is for little guys.

Tangela - I am also in Pueblo. Maybe I can drive you the next time the group gets together (after I am back from PIR). Let me know what you think. You been in Pueblo your whole life?
