Briansmom - congratulations on your Sailors PIR! it's such a beautiful ceremony, and very exciting! Don't forget your tissues! lol!

Gay - how old is your Sailor, may I ask? 3 years, wow! And here I'm trying to deal with 3 months! lol!
Even tho Michael is a MAA (or in A School for it!) he's thinking of doing the 4 years, then either becoming a Navy Chaplin, or a Priest. In the meantime, he'll more than likely be posted on a rather dangerous base in the Middle East, so I'm thankful he has such a close relationship with God! (I'm hoping that will keep him safe!) *whew*!! 

I won't be there either. PIR!!! I can't believe it's finally here! I will miss being with you guys though. You've been a huge support in the short time I've been involved. This is an awesome, kind, welcoming, group and I feel blessed to be a part of it. Thanks to all of you.

Miss Suzanne, Glad you found us. Hope you can connect with others in Arvada so you can join us for our coffee time and packing parties.

Our next coffee is on October 15th. We meet in different areas around the west side of the Metro area. Have not come up with a location yet for the 15th. If anyone has a suggestion please let me know. I think Chris said she would not be able to attend in October.

Hello my fellow Colorado Moms!
You gotta love this webpage, that Navy Moms from all over the world can find each other!
I'm a single mom, and my Sailor, Michael, is in San Antonio for MAA A-School. He's just starting, and he's very excited. I'm very happy, very proud, but I miss my best friend, ya know? 
I'd love to get to know those of you who live close enough to me. I'm in Arvada, at 80th & N. Wadsworth - anyone within spitting distance of me?

pqrlisa - maybe we could have a multi day, multi location packing party for them!  I would help in that effort for sure!  :-)

Chris - please remind me who we packed for yesterday.  My daughter is curious.  I told her we probably can't ever adopt her ship because it's too big.  Over 1,000 Sailors and about 1500 Marines when they are underway.  But we love them anyway!

Thanks,

Lisa

I'm so glad I looked up the address on the map! I thought we were going to the other recruiting office on Wadsworth & Bowles in Littleton. I went to the wrong Starbucks last time and I almost did it again!
