As per moving our next coffee meeting place North,...I sent a note to phoebe already. I think it should remain somewhere south where most people can get to it easily. I got lost last time due to a bad direction from google maps and no satellite precheck of what the location looked like...and I am really sorry for that. But it is still more convenient for the rest of you to keep the location closer to Arvada than Broomfield. (I am actually more of a tea drinker, so I usually meet out of town friends at the Dushambe Tea House in Boulder, and I am not really familiar with local coffee shops anyway.)
I am looking forward to seeing you at the packing party on Oct. 1st.
Hey all,
I actually work at Buckley. When our sailors come back from Iraq and Afganistan we debrief them and ask them what they wanted while there. Here is a list. This may help with Molly's packing party.
Here is the link because I think the one below this will be too small:

Are we still thinking of getting together for coffee on the 17th? That is Broomfield Day, but I am not working a booth this year so I could still make a coffee gathering if we are planning it for that morning.
Cathy PNM I am glad you got to experience your Sailor's PIR. It really is an incredible experience, and one not to be missed!
I have been able to talk a couple of times with my sailor in the last couple of weeks. He is bummed that he wasn't able to help his family during the Irene Storm evacuations but they did fine! (His wife and kids went to Georgia for a short vacation visit with her sister!)
Have a wonderful Labor Day wkend everyone! (Be glad that you don't go to Colorado School of Mines for College...they have regular classes on Labor Day!)

Hi everyone! Sorry it has taken so long to get back here and post after PIR last week. It was one of the most incredible experiences of my life, with no doubt. We were fortunate to have all of Friday afternoon with her after graduation, and then had all day Saturday as well because she didn't fly out to Pensacola until early Sunday morning. We were at the airport (Midway) at 1am to see her off, and then they boarded the plane about 5a or so. You would think that means we had several hours with her there but only had about 30 minutes. But hey, 30 minutes is priceless isn't it??
We also had 4 extras to attend graduation and even with 13 divisions, they all got in, ALL extras that were there got in.
The thrill of seeing those Sailors outside for the first time as the big door is rising is completely indescribable. We were fortunate to have seats right in front of it, so we could easily see Division 269 (coming in first), Division 270 (my girl's) and Division 271 marching up behind them.
mtngrl2014 - have a wonderful time! I hope you get through Chicago area traffic easier than I did. Get seats high in the stands in the drill hall! Enjoy every minute :-)
And thank you all for the good wishes!
