Thought I would joi the group as a temporary, honorary CO Mom.

Packing party on May 7 is at VFW on Marshall St and 53rd correct?  NOT at Recruiting office on Wadsworth.  I wish I could join you-all for more of the Navy week activities, but I have a teenager who has AP exams at her High School, that same week, and since she does not drive yet...I am her transportation.  My Navy son and his family will be visiting during May on their way to their new duty station.  Are he and his wife welcome at the events?  I bought some packages of pillow cases to bring along and will pick up some other things before May 7th.  It was wonderful to meet those of you who were at the St. Patrick's Day pack, and I am looking forward to seeing you again in May!

Hey everyone!  I was just at the Dollar Tree store near me yesterday & they have a lot of care items that we're collecting for obviously a great price.

I am getting ready to go shopping today for the Packing Party!  This will be the first one for us and it is so positive to be meeting other Colorado Navy parents!

CoMom, We live in Penrose. I also have niece that will leaving for bc on april 22 or 23. They are from Co Spgs. So I am sure my SIL would be interested as well. Lets get to know each other and try to meet halfway or even in the Springs. Wouldn't be fun to find some other gals close by as well!

Colorado Connie, Welcome!  I am relatively new to Navy 4 Moms & it has been a huge encouragement & support to me.  You were wise to check it out from the beginning.  I waited, I'm not sure why, 'til my son was deployed. Everyone at N4M's is honest, supportive & friendly.

ColoradoConnie

Welcome Connie,  If you haven't, find your ship date.  There should be others looking for you also.  After that you'll want to find your PIR date group and join them for PIR (graduation from boot camp) in GL.  If no group has started you can start the group.  The best thing is to find others that are with your recruit right now.  It'll take time and don't get lost in the sites posted. Just stop and ask, someone will have an answer for you.  Again welcome to Navy 4 Moms we love you!

Greetings ladies, I am new here actually so new that I am just finding my way around N4M's and have just found this Colorado group! Are there any Mom's or families in the southern Co region near Canon City? Our 30 yr. old son just left for BC on Tuesday from DIA in Denver and we're still waiting to get his address from the recruiter or his box and form letter. Would love to spend time getting to know  you and your Sailors/SR's. We also have a 21 yr old niece shipping out to RTC in April, so my sis-in-law will probably be interested in the group as well!
