Hi all, wish I could join in next Sat but have a meeting at 10am. Some other time. Just changed my profile name. Heard today our sailor received his dolphins yesterday! Lots of Navy moms south of Monument Hill. We need to get together for a packing party sometime.

I am waiting to hear where we are meeting.  Vera will come along if I go.  Not sure about the other local moms.  I have not heard from them and since I don't know the meeting place, I am not ready to send reminder yet.  Is Chris N planning to be there?  Thanks!  Tori   (Broomfield, Colorado, Navy Mom)

Hey everyone - sorry for not responding lately.  It's been a busy 2 MONTHs for me plus good old jury duty for Denver this week!   That means working on the J.O.B. during the evenings to catch up.

I am game for any location.  My mother in law has been to a few places in C.R.  like the Old Stone Church and Union American Bistro.  I have a couple of free hours Thursday morning, will call a few places and pick one.  Hope that's okay with everyone.

Good morning,

I think thats a great idea Julie, having a place to mingle.  But finding that could be hard.  I know hometown buffet has a separate room but don't know if castle rock has one, plus the food isn't that great lol.    Mexican food sounds good.  If there is anything I can to to help, let me know.

Got my car back yesterday, looks so good. took like 6 weeks but I am happy.

Heard from my sailor, they are in port for some R&R, In Malaysia, (the Navy posted it so I can say :) ) they were there last deployment to. Glad they are all having some much needed time off the ship.

Hi Julie, the sign outside the restaurant says Mexican restaurant...I was going to try and call them to see if that is the actual name. 11am works for me

We have 20 RSVPs as ot today.

Thank you Laurie for checking these out! I honestly don't care where we end up and we all probably feel the same.  Would be nice to have an atmosphere where we can mingle a bit.  I don't know if these offer that - perhaps the Mexican Place does but is that the name of the restaurant?

I will make a couple calls next week.  Anyone else have suggestions?  is 11am ok or any objections?

OK I'm back from my trip to colorado springs and here is what I found to be in Castlerock along I25 for our meet and greet on October 13

Mexican Place off of the highway and exit 182 (I have been here, good food and large dinning area)

Black Eyed Pea North West corner of I 25 and exit 184 (by the outlet mall)

Applebees on the North East corner of I 25 and exit 184

just thought I would add this info for whom ever is deciding this..I'm happy to help out

Hi everyone, I am actually driving to Colorado Springs today, so I was thinking I would drive through castlerock and see what restaurants are located right off of I25 for our get together on the 13th.  Does anyone have a place set yet?  I will just get some ideas and post later today.

Thanks Chris for the Facebook message.  It showed up in a chat box.  I will have to check with husband about going to Castle Rock on the 13th, but it sounds like fun!  It beats sitting near my computer for hours waiting to see if my deployed Sailor or overseas College Student will send me a message.  Neither has a clue what time it is here in the U.S. when they try to SKYPE or send a private message.  Both of them are living where it is already half way into tomorrow...sigh.  ToriPS

I am in for the 13th?  is that the date? do we have a location yet?   can somone maybe start a discussion above so it's easier to gather a count and details?
