For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Carol - we must have the same count down, Dev graduates C-school on 11/19 and we're hoping he heads home the same day! Not sure how much time off he'll get but we hope at least a couple weeks before heading off to Naples! Hey - a mom can wish!
Must have been the cool air, we replaced our 6' tall privacy fence in the backyard this weekend and put down a brick patio, was so wonderful to have temps in the 60's and 70's! Of course the hubs can't move today without whining how sore he is! LOL!

Joel's mom, I'm curious about that too. My son will be assigned as of Nov 15 to the new school in San Antonio (67 miles from home!!!). Anyway...I'm wondering if he's off for Thanksgiving? or what...he'll be working over the guys waiting to class up, and his sister and I are fully prepared to make Thanksgiving (and Christmas) dinner for as many people as he can fit in his car and in his buddy's car. We don't care. We just want him home for the first Thanksgiving in 4 years!!

Oh Mark - I hope not! I just LOVE the dress whites and have yet to see my own son in his! Our timing has been off and I've only seen him in his dress blues! The young Corpsman that was at my brother-in-laws wedding last week was in his dress whites and he was just magnificent in them! The blues are nice but the whites just stand out in a crowd.
