While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Now Ruthella - Frank has teeth, he just tends to keep 'em in his pocket! And he has shoes too, pretty sure they're under his side of the bed...and he has hair, you just never see it cause it's always covered with a ballcap! LOL!

OK - now, sooo much to catch up on! Congrats to our new grads and all of our accomplishments in the past week! Such a busy group! Mental note to self: never stay off site for more than a day or so, no way to catch up with this crowd! :0)

Hi Moms! I'm baaaackkkkk! LOL! My feet have finally touched ground, had an AWESOME weekend with my Corpsmen "plural" home last week! The boys were a blast, a total burst of energy in our otherwise mundane lives! We boated and fished and played games and just had a wonderful time. I encourage all Corpsmen moms to encourage their kids to bring home a friend or two, they are so much fun in multiples! DJ's mom, if you're out there, your son made you proud, he's a fine young man and welcome in our home any time!

Suffice to say that when I attempted to participate in some of the N4M programs here early on in their inception, since I, on other boards, am very vocal about supporting my political candidates, I was bombarded with messages from moms here who did not want me involved. Anysailor.com,, anysoldier.com, anymarine.com and their folks really had no problems accepting my packages for their folks, no matter what my political persuasion! so I use them! I also like sending what they request instead of a set list.

There is generally a unit of corpsman with a Marine or Army unit. They work in shifts, and in teams.
My son was offered a lead when he was yoyoing about staying in or not...I'm personally very happy with his new assignment as an instructor only 70 miles from home after 4 years of no where near us!!
Please welcome Linda a new corpsman's mom. I hope she decides to post soon, this is a tough week to start with the loss of a young corpsman on all of our minds. Another local Texas man lost this week as well.

Carol - I promise to enjoy every minute of the weekend! My kids always seem to bring friends home - I love it, the more the merrier! They bring such a great energy with them. It's hard when they leave though, the house goes back to being way to quiet for my liking! For now I shall indulge myself in the chaos! LOL :0)

Carol - I think it's awesome of your son to decide to go with the Army, they need out guys big time! Of course 13 months is a ways away and you never know what will happen.
Right now grinning from ear to ear - my Sailor is home and he and his buddy from school just came by my office, DJ's mom, if you're on here, your boy made it safe and sound to FL and he's making you proud mom! What a nice young man you've raised! Oh - I've had 4 of the girls in my office thus far since the guys left wanting to know "who the hotties were in my office"! Had to laugh, one of the girls didn't believe one was my son, says no way could I have a son that old - she is my new best friend! LOL
