Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

He kept asking me if I was okay with this..and all I kept thinking was "blueside, blueside..." no more Marine deployments. And if he gets San Antonio or even Corpus Christi...he's here every weekend..that's actually probably plenty of time at home!

oh never mind the little shit just called and has turned in reenlistment papers...but hoping to go blueside and stay in the States, hopefully in Texas. He thinks Texas orders are still available.

Oh, they'll run...my long lanky son...I cannot believe the size of his legs now, he'll have to work out forever to keep from flabbing up. I think they do things like run with the weight of a full dressed out Marine on their shoulders...like 240 lbs.
My son moving to a different regiment today who will be loaning him out to someplace in Yuma AZ for a couple of months. With this change of command, he's decided to definitely leave the Navy when his enlistment is up in August. Says he won't know the new command to trust them to work with him on his career Navy goals.
I say.."welcome home!"...

Woo hoo Amber! Been trying to respond on my "wall" about the running but I'm having computer issues. According to Devin, they've run some but not nearly what they did in BC. Mostly they study! Devin had test 6 or 7 today (I've lost track) and he got a 93! Seems to be his score, he's had that on the last few tests! He wanted to totally ace it and I told him be proud, at least you're consistent! :0)

Alexandrea - how's the baby doing today? You getting enough rest yourself? My oldest used to get the worst ear infections as a baby and boy can I remember many sleepless nights with him.
