While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Have you heard about the "Blue Candle Lighting" being scheduled on Christmas Day? It is a way to honor those Sailors that will not be home for Christmas. What a nice tribute to our Sailors!
Please go to Events and click on Blue Candle Lighting, we are tracking how many candles will be lit in our Sailors' honor and where you are located.
Let's do this in our "Navy for Moms" style - can we get 9000 plus candles lit on Christmas Day?!!

Well, he's back in NCarolina...and he sounds great...there's a picture on my page that cher, one of our Navy moms, took for us! Now I'm looking forward to Christmas when he comes home to Texas, but at least I don't tear up everytime I think about seeing him...altho when that picture came across my computer this morning, it was a shock! just to see his face! and that smile...
PRK, is that the eye correction? Matt's on a waiting list for it, hope it happens soon...he's tired of dealing with contacts and glasses as well.

Normally they do not get their oders until they are almost done with A school so if your son is stating that he's going to Camp Lejeune, he may just be hearing rumors. The Navy will assign them where they are needed. My son just graduated A school and is home on leave until he leaves for Camp Pendleton where he will be going thru FMBT. It's not something he chose, but he's still looking forward to it. You'll know more details once he gets his orders. For now it's just anyone's guess. Hope that helps a little.

Ok everyoneI am looking toward the future my oldest is already in the fleet and my second that has joined has signed for corpsman...he doesn't leave until next July...my question: Is there any classes he can take in High school or at the community college that will prepare him for the this job??

I was wondering if anyone knows when and how a C school is requested? I've heard conflicting information. My son is graduating on 10/29 and will be with the 1st Mar Division. I heard today that he can request a C school at any time, but I'm not sure if that info is correct. Any info would be appreciated.
